Job Description

As a Client Experience Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in delivering best-in-class service across Yahoo Ad’s advertising portfolio. Supporting both performance-driven and brand campaigns, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to sales and clients, owning campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting for advertisers across Yahoo’s ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure flawless planning and execution and drive client satisfaction through proactive communication, performance insights, and strategic recommendations.
Must have:
  • Serve as pre and post-sale partner for clients.
  • Oversee full campaign lifecycle from planning to billing.
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues with ad operations and technical support.
  • Support proactive media planning and upsell opportunities.
  • Deliver performance updates, wrap reports, and QBR materials.
  • Become a channel and product expert in Yahoo Ad’s full-funnel solutions.
  • Manage internal workflows including audience development and media planning.
  • Contribute to team best practices, documentation, and process improvement.

About the Role

As a Client Experience Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in delivering best-in-class service across Yahoo Ad’s advertising portfolio. Supporting both performance-driven and brand campaigns, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to sales and clients, owning campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting for advertisers across Yahoo’s ecosystem, including all of Yahoo’s owned and operated sites and the Yahoo Performance Network.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure flawless planning and execution and drive client satisfaction through proactive communication, performance insights, and strategic recommendations.

This role supports retail, QSR, and CPG sales teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Success Ownership: Serve as the go-to pre and post-sale partner for all pre-and-post sales needs with clients in partnership with assigned Account Director(s).
  • Campaign Management: Oversee full campaign lifecycle from planning to billing; troubleshoot delivery issues in partnership with ad operations (known as Client Performance at Yahoo) and technical support teams.
  • Strategic Partnership & Cross-Channel Coordination: Support proactive media planning and upsell opportunities in collaboration with Account Directors, Channel Partnership Directors, and Brand Sales and Strategy team, including both internal and external partners.
  • Insights & Reporting: Deliver performance updates, wrap reports, and QBR materials that drive client decision-making, reinforce campaign value, and upsell/renewal.
  • Full Funnel Solutions: Become a channel and product expert in Yahoo Ad’s full-funnel solutions
  • Process Enablement: Manage internal workflows, including audience development, media planning, inventory forecasting, IO processing, asset collection/development/submissions, pacing/delivery reports, billing support, and campaign troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Continual Learning: Contribute to team best practices, documentation, process improvement, and onboarding to support continued learning and operational excellence. Additionally, you’ll leverage and lean in to AI to do so.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in end-to-end digital campaign management or client services, account management, or media operations. Experience at a DSP, premium publisher, or media agency is preferred.
  • Strong understanding and experience in digital media channels and buying paths, including direct IO, programmatic guaranteed, PMPs, native/performance, display, video, and sponsorships. Fluent in each medium/channel’s respective KPIs and industry standards
  • Proven success in a client-facing or campaign/account management role
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Salesforce, Google Ad Manager, Excel/Google Sheets, DSPs, and media planning/reporting tools
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for elevating client experiences
  • Comfort and proficiency with AI tools; possesses a strong interest in the evolving AI landscape and a practical understanding of its applications, with the ability to leverage existing tools—or identify new ones—to enhance daily workflows and uncover new opportunities.
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc projects, where business needs dictate
  • Experience with CPG/QSR/retail advertisers preferred, not required
