As a College Intern in Electrical Hardware Engineering at HP, you will gain practical experience in Electronics/Electrical Design & Testing. You will collaborate with the R&D team to develop practical test boards based on product requirements and generate test scripts for automated environments. Ideal candidates possess an Electrical or Electronics Engineering background, basic CAD software knowledge, programming skills, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of electronic principles, with a commitment to a 5-6 month full-time internship starting January 2026.
Must have:
  • Acquires practical experience working on Electronics/Electrical Design & Testing.
  • Work closely with R&D team to develop practical test board in a true R&D environment based on required product requirement.
  • Generating useful test scripts to support an automated test environment.
  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering undergraduate or relevant education background.
  • Able to commit to a 5 to 6-month full-time internship, starting in January 2026.
  • Basic knowledge in CAD software for schematic capture.
  • Basic programming know-how and hand-on experience.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently (self-driven) and within a team environment.
  • Knowledge of electronic principles.
Good to have:
  • Electronics Circuit & System Design, Troubleshooting and Validation.
  • PCB design, Process Set-up and Fabrication of Test board.
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
  • Test Automation development using scripting (e.g., Python/Visual Basic).
  • Practical experience in AI/ChatGPT application development to support engineering problem analysis.
