This role is a Commercial Operations Manager specializing in RFI-RFP handling for Central Europe (primarily DACH), part of the Business Development & Commercial Operations – Tools & Processes team. The role owner supports Sales with RFI-RFP requests and selectively assists the local Sales team in deal acquisition. Ad hoc analyses are also expected. The position is based in Vienna, covering 20% local and 80% regional activities.
Must have:
  • Manage RFI/RFP process, including filling out and submitting material on time.
  • Coordinate inputs with Sales, Tech, and Legal across markets.
  • Understand client requirements, project scope, and opportunity value.
  • Oversee RFI/RFP lifecycle: resources, timelines, deliverables, compliance, completeness.
  • Manage and improve support tools (e.g., CRM adjustments and process automation).
  • Manage reporting.
  • Manage continuous lessons learned sharing with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive business development by identifying relevant portals and discussing opportunities with Sales.
  • Generate KPI reports.
  • Perform activity reporting.
  • Conduct trends and white-spot analyses.
  • Perform pipeline analysis.
  • Conduct business segments analysis.
  • Support local Sales.
  • Contribute to European CRM standardization & improvements activities.
  • Support Finance with CRM data on reports.
  • Support upgrade program.
  • Support with data selections and Telesales campaigning.
  • Support CRM users with internal data management.
  • Support DACH OTI process work.
Good to have:
  • Experience as a BID manager for RFI-RFP.
  • Experience with AI tools.

The role is a Commercial Operations Manager with specialist area in RFI-RFP handling in the Central Europe region (with primary focus on DACH). It is part of the Business Development & Commercial Operations – Tools & Processes team. The role owner is the primary go-to-person for Sales with respect to any kind of support needs with RFI-RFP requests.

The role owner also selectively covers support needs of the local Sales team along the deal acquisition process. Ad hoc tasks regarding various types of analyses - mainly as part of regional requests – can be expected to occur regularly.

The position is in the D&B Vienna office and is intended to cover 20% of local support and 80% of regional activities.

Analytical skills and experience in handling customer requests are a precondition for being successful in the role. Similarly, experience in driving change and process automation should be part of the candidate's background. Understanding complex processes and experience in implementing workflows are also key success factors.

RFI & RFP support responsibilities:

  • RFI / RFP support includes managing the process, filling out and submitting RFP/RFI material on time in collaboration with Sales
  • Coordinate inputs with Sales, Tech and Legal across markets
  • Understand client requirements, project scope, and opportunity value
  • Oversee RFI/RFP lifecycle: resources spend, timelines, deliverables, compliance, completeness
  • Manage and improve support tools (e.g., CRM adjustments and process automation)
  • Manage reporting
  • Manage continuous lessons learned sharing with internal stakeholders
  • Drive business development (identify relevant portals cross markets, discuss opportunities with Sales)

2. Commercial insights and analytics support responsibilities:

  • KPI reports

3. Ongoing commercial support responsibilities:

  • Support local Sales
  • Contribute to European CRM standardization & improvements activities

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and German language. Must be able to explain concepts clearly, concisely, and engagingly. Good questioner and listener – intellectually curious
  • Commercial awareness, understand business flows and demonstrating a detailed understanding of technology impact on business processes/results
  • Ability to execute against a detailed delivery plan
  • Ability to work effectively across and with different departments and country organizations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities: ability to question complex issues and not afraid of challenging as is situations
  • Experience in working with Salesforce systems workflows and strong analytical and business orientation mindset
  • Experience in working as a BID manager for RFI-RFP is an advantage for the candidate
  • Experience in working with AI tools will be an advantage for the candidate
  • The gross annual target salary is from €43,300,- with the willingness to pay more depending on professional experience and qualifications
