The Crown Is Yours

We are searching for a smart and proactive Communications Associate. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting company projects and initiatives, as well as delivering on team objectives. While reporting into the corporate function, this associate will also work cross-functionally across consumer, internal, public affairs, and CSR.


What you'll do as a Communications Associate

  • Assist in developing and drafting communications-related materials including but not limited to press releases, prep documents, plans, media pitches, social media copy, award submissions, speaking engagement proposals and more. 

  • Support in building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, responding to media inquiries, and coordinating select interviews for press coverage.

  • Proactively research and present potential story angles and other public-facing opportunities for DraftKings.

  • Assist in development of internal and external presentation decks and performance recaps.

  • Develop comprehensive coverage reports following tentpole corporate and consumer announcements.

  • Update and maintain detailed media lists.

  • Monitor and track media coverage and team email alias for incoming media requests.

  • Support administrative efforts including agendas, daily, weekly, and monthly media monitoring, and conference call coordination.

What you'll bring

  • At least 1 year of  work experience, ideally agency or in-house corporate communications. Knowledge of the sports and/or gaming industry preferred.

  • The ability to follow the pace of sports storylines and availability to work weekends and holidays, depending on game schedules.

  • Adaptable and quick-thinking, along with strong writing skills.

  • Equal parts creative and strategic with an excitement for DraftKings’ mission and products.

  • Charismatic communication skills and ability to develop productive relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 56,000.00 USD - 70,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
