Job Description

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing the Compliance Manual, AML/CFT program, and internal policies to ensure alignment with FSA requirements for licensed entities. This role involves coordinating operational activities to maintain compliance, identifying and reporting compliance issues to the Board of Directors, preparing reports for the Board and regulatory bodies, and responding to the FSA. The manager will also analyze regulatory developments, enforce compliance standards, provide guidance to employees, conduct compliance monitoring of clients and third parties, review agreements, and investigate client complaints. The role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Must have:

Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
Strong attention to detail and team-oriented.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to work with regional and global partners.

Qualifications

Sound knowledge of FSA Act, VASP Act, Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies.
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.
Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.
Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging.
Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level.
Experience in managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, and other external partners.
Awareness of regulatory requirements including local laws, international FATF and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and periodically review the Compliance Manual, AML/CFT programme, and internal policies to ensure alignment with the FSA requirements for licensed entities;
Coordinating operational activities aiming to maintain compliance with legal requirements;
Identifying any compliance issues or risk of failure and timely reporting to the Board of Directors;
Preparing and submitting relevant reports to the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies;
Responding to FSA and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports;
Analysing regulatory developments, new compliance legislation and market developments;
Enforcing organization compliance standards, policies and procedures;
Providing guidance to the company’s employees on subjects related to regulatory compliance, Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;
Conducting compliance monitoring of clients and third parties KYC;
Reviewing agreements with clients and 3rd parties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
Investigating clients complaints.
