Job Description

As a Consulting Project Manager, Japan, you will work with large customers to manage consulting engagements like process improvement, implementation, software training, and technical guidance. Your responsibilities include managing multiple consulting projects, leading internal and external resources, maintaining communication, defining project resource plans, monitoring projects, developing project plans, and developing client relationships. These services will ensure customers are maximizing the value from their investment in Autodesk technologies and ensuring the success of transformational changes to their business. You will also be responsible for translating project objectives into clear goals for the team and ensuring projects are completed within defined schedules and budgets.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally IT-related
  • PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent
  • Experience leading a team to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to review and draft scopes of work
  • Experience in consulting or service delivery

Position Overview

The Autodesk Enterprise Customer Success organization is seeking a talented, accomplished, and enthusiastic individual to join our APAC Consulting Services team as a Consulting Project Manager, Japan. 

As a Consulting Project Manager, Japan, you will use your industry and technical knowledge to help our customers put innovative design, engineering, and construction solutions into real world practice.  

You will work directly with our largest and most strategic customers to manage consulting engagements including process improvement, implementation and deployment strategies, software training, configuration, mentoring and technical guidance. Providing these services will ensure customers are maximizing the value from their investment in Autodesk technologies and ensuring the success of transformational changes to their business.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple consulting projects across a range of customers simultaneously

  • Effectively leading and managing internal and external resources to meet project objectives

  • Maintaining open communication amongst account team and project team members, leading project review meetings

  • Translating project objectives and vision into clear goals for the team

  • Managing team members to achieve project objectives

  • Defining project resource plans, including internal and contract resources

  • Monitoring projects to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters

  • Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and project control tools utilising standard PM processes

  • Performing project plan analysis and evaluating risk and developing risk mitigation plans.

  • Developing strong client and stakeholder relationships and maintaining effective communication channels

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within an IT-related field

  • PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent

  • Experience leading a team to achieve project objectives and deliver projects within cost/schedule constraints

  • Ability to review and draft scopes of work, prepare project-related documentation, and develop and deliver presentations

  • Experience in consulting or service delivery to architect and design solutions based on business requirements

  • A strong sense of ownership with a bias for action
