We are seeking an experienced and strategic Content Lead to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product and technical content across multiple enterprise software products. This role is critical in shaping how users, customers, and stakeholders interact with our products through clear, consistent, and impactful documentation and collateral. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, content strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, preferably within domains such as IT operations, observability, automation, or service management. This leadership role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, including managing a growing team of writers and collaborating with stakeholders across product, engineering, support, marketing, and sales.
Must have:
  • Define and execute the documentation strategy across multiple product lines and platforms.
  • Establish writing standards, tone, content taxonomy, and guidelines for consistency and usability.
  • Implement governance models to streamline content creation, review, publishing, and maintenance processes.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, QA, customer success, and support teams to understand product features and user journeys.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to develop technical marketing content such as battle cards, product briefs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Coordinate internal enablement content for training and onboarding.
  • Oversee and contribute to the creation and maintenance of user guides, knowledge bases, how-to articles, tutorials, API/integration documentation, release notes, change logs, technical blogs, use cases, and sales enablement content.
  • Ensure documentation is intuitive, searchable, up-to-date, and aligned with product releases and user needs.
  • Manage CMS and documentation tools, including version control, publishing workflows, and user feedback integration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technical writers and content creators.
  • Define team OKRs/KPIs focused on quality, adoption, and customer self-service success.
  • Conduct performance reviews, enable skill development, and expand the team as required.

  • Familiarity with ITSM, DevOps, Observability, or Automation domains.
  • Exposure to structured authoring (e.g., DITA/XML), API documentation, static site generators, or developer portals.
  • Experience in creating technical marketing and internal enablement assets.
  • Comfort working with analytics to measure documentation performance and refine strategy.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy & Governance

  • Define and execute the documentation strategy across multiple product lines and platforms.
  • Establish writing standards, tone, content taxonomy, and guidelines for consistency and usability.
  • Implement governance models to streamline content creation, review, publishing, and maintenance processes.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential

1. 8+ years of experience in technical content development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

2. Proven experience managing documentation for complex enterprise software products.

3. Strong technical understanding and ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences.

4. Proficiency in CMS, documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Git, Markdown), and collaborative workflows.

5. Experience working in Agile or product-centric environments.

Preferred

6. Familiarity with ITSM, DevOps, Observability, or Automation domains.

7. Exposure to structured authoring (e.g., DITA/XML), API documentation, static site generators, or developer portals.

8. Experience in creating technical marketing and internal enablement assets.

9. Comfort working with analytics to measure documentation performance and refine strategy.
