Job Summary

At The Walt Disney Studios, you will be part of a team that helps propel our legacy into the future. The Content Security (CS) team supports studio banners in protecting content creation through effective problem-solving, authentic partnerships, and technical expertise. We are looking for a Program Manager to drive the direction and goals for the Production Engineering team. You will be a key driver in advancing content security initiatives that safeguard our creative assets and strengthen the security culture across the organization.

Must Have

  • Oversee and coordinate creation of comprehensive documentation for assessment methodologies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain centralized dashboards and metrics to track production security activity.
  • Document security guidelines and best practices for production teams.
  • Maintain and oversee content security protocols for the High Security Card Reader program.
  • Lead vendor and production tool evaluations, conduct on-site audits, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Deliver training programs and workshops, advising production executives on security considerations.
  • Participate in after-action reviews, translating lessons learned into improved processes.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management within the technology and media sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and principles in Media & Entertainment.
  • Deep understanding of Content Security policies and requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for executive-level audiences.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, Microsoft Office, Keynote, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience interfacing with engineering teams and security operations.
  • Ability to work in person Monday – Thursday in Glendale, CA.

The Content Security (CS) team Is a part of the Studio Technology organization Inside The Walt Disney Studios supporting studio banners in protecting content creation through effective problem-solving, authentic partnerships, and technical expertise. Our team drives towards goals that include: a. fostering a culture of content security b. eliminating the risk of content leaks and c. tailoring security solutions to meet our partners’ needs.

We are looking for a Program Manager to drive the direction and goals for the Production Engineering team. A successful candidate is someone who can step into and navigate a complex and high-paced environment of hardworking, friendly, and passionate people. You are a strategic thinker who is detail-oriented, an effective problem solver, and confident in your ability to influence and build strong relationships across technical and business stakeholders. You will be a key driver in advancing content security initiatives that safeguard our creative assets and strengthen the security culture across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and coordinate the creation of comprehensive documentation outlining assessment methodologies and procedures for both vendor and production on-set evaluations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Develop and maintain centralized dashboards and metrics to track production security activity, analyze trends, and provide insights to leadership.
  • Document security guidelines and best practices shared with production teams, helping set clear operational guidelines throughout the production process.
  • Maintain, and oversee the content security protocols for the High Security Card Reader program.
  • Lead vendor and production tool evaluations (from a security perspective), conduct on-site audits, monitor vendor performance, and document findings to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Deliver training programs and scenario-based workshops to strengthen early planning, while advising production executives on security considerations and emerging risks.
  • Participate in after-action reviews, translating lessons learned into improved processes, updated protocols, and refined security practices across productions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in any field or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management within the technology and media sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and principals, particularly as they relate to use of technical solutions in Media & Entertainment.
  • Deep understanding of Content Security policies and requirements, and ability to convey requirements to business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience crafting technical communications for executive-level audiences.
  • Tech-savvy and well-versed in Smartsheets, Microsoft Office, Keynote, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives requiring influence across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience interfacing with engineering teams and security operations to implement and optimize security tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work in person Monday – Thursday in Glendale, CA

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $129,300.00 to $173,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
