Job Description

This Business Analyst role at Ubisoft's IT Business Application department bridges the gap between business and technical teams. You'll be part of the Workforce Administration Product Team, focusing on Core HR solutions (HRTB, Ticket Restaurant, AD Watcher, etc.). Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into specifications and user stories, designing mockups using Figma, ensuring IT solution feasibility, creating documentation and training materials, collaborating with QA on testing, supporting application specialists, and improving operational processes. Strong Core HR process knowledge, particularly employee lifecycle and absence management, is essential, along with experience in IT business analysis and Agile methodologies.

Working within IT Business Application department, the role of the Business Analyst is to act as a link between the business teams and the technical teams to transform business needs into effective and sustainable HR solutions.

You will be a part of the Workforce Administration Product Team, contributing to all phases of product implementation and collaborating with business stakeholders on key HR tools such as HRTB, Ticket Restaurant, AD Watcher, and more. Your role will focus on Core HR topics, covering many business specificities that will help the business team in streamlining the processes and translate them into IT solutions.

 

Your main mission:

Business Analysis & Solution Design:

  • Work closely with business teams to understand processes, collect and analyze requirements, and translate them into specifications and user stories.
  • Validate requirements with developers, architects, and integrators to ensure feasibility and alignment with business needs.
  • Use wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) to design mockups and support IT solution design
  • Ensure business and IT alignment by coordinating with key stakeholders
  • Organize and deliver clear process documentation, system guides, and training materials.
  • Communicate process and system changes effectively to stakeholders to encourage adoption.

 

Testing Activities:

  • Collaborate closely with QA Engineers to define, review, and refine test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Conduct functional testing to validate system features and ensure accuracy
  • Plan, define, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the creation of UAT scenarios.

 

Support & Continuous Improvement:

  • Assist Application Specialists in resolving complex cases and ensure smooth system support for end-users.
  • Perform SQL queries for data extraction and updates
  • Ensure follow-up on support cases while continuously improving operational processes.

Qualifications

The professional value you bring:

  • Proven experience in IT business analysis or in a related role.
  • Experience working with Core HR systems or large interconnected IT solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Core HR business processes, especially related to employee life cycle and absence management
  • Excellent ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions using wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and its relation to applications and business services.
  • Excellent documentation and visualization skills (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools (e.g., Miro).
  • SQL query creation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
