An exciting opportunity to join DET’s Technical Communication team as a CRM & Email Manager. This hybrid role involves developing and deploying internal marketing communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slack Apps across EMEA and global markets. Additionally, the role focuses on administering and developing the internal Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM, supporting teams in Public Relations and internal communications. Responsibilities include maintaining user access, configuring features, and building advanced tools like CRM Flows, AI Agents, and Data Cloud segments to streamline processes and communications.
Must have:
  • Execute email campaigns targeting employees across EMEA.
  • Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud email operations.
  • Code and customize branded HTML email templates.
  • Send internal notifications through Slack Apps.
  • Act as internal administrator for DET’s Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Create and maintain user profiles, permissions, and access.
  • Build custom Flows, dashboards, and automation.
  • Leverage Salesforce AI tools to enhance user experiences.
  • Segment audiences using Data Cloud tools.
  • Maintain CRM data quality, accuracy, and governance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Email Marketing, CRM, or Database Marketing.
  • Possess Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, and Platform App Builder certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Amp Script, and T-SQL.
Good to have:
  • JavaScript and Apex coding skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join DET’s Technical Communication team and gain hands-on experience across a broad range of marketing and technical disciplines, including email development, CRM administration, and digital communication strategy.

Reporting to the Tech Lead, the CRM & Email Manager will be primarily responsible for developing and deploying internal-facing marketing communications using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Slack Apps. You will author, manage, and optimize internal communications across EMEA and other global markets, while also supporting internal engagement through digital channels such as our internal blog and employee event registrations.

In addition to email development, this role has a secondary focus on the administration and development of our internal Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM—supporting teams across Public Relations, internal comms, and other business functions. This includes maintaining user access, configuring features, and building advanced tools such as CRM Flows, AI Agents, Data Cloud segments, and automation frameworks to help streamline communications and operational processes.

This is a unique hybrid role blending marketing technology, CRM operations, and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities

Email Manager (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to execute email campaigns targeting employees across EMEA region
  • Manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud email operations: setup, testing, deployment, and reporting
  • Code and customize branded HTML email templates within brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to optimize email creative assets
  • Build Cloud Pages registration forms to support internal campaigns
  • Send internal notifications through Slack Apps using approved workflows
  • Implement email best practices and stay current on email marketing trends

CRM Administration (Salesforce Sales Cloud)

  • Act as internal administrator for DET’s Salesforce Sales Cloud instance used by internal teams and PR
  • Create and maintain user profiles, permissions, and access for employees
  • Build custom Flows, dashboards, and automation to streamline internal processes
  • Leverage Salesforce AI tools (e.g., Agentforce, Einstein) to enhance internal user experiences and deliver intelligent workflows
  • Segment audiences using Data Cloud tools for targeted internal communications
  • Help evolve internal CRM strategies for employees and implement scalable processes
  • Partner with internal tech and compliance and data privacy teams to maintain CRM data quality, accuracy, and governance

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in Email Marketing, CRM, or Database Marketing
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
  • Possession of three Salesforce certifications (for admin access in production environments):
  • * Salesforce - Administrator
  • Salesforce - Advanced Administrator
  • Salesforce - Platform App Builder
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Familiarity with building and administering Flows, reports, user access, and CRM automations
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Amp Script, T-SQL, and email coding best practices
  • JavaScript and Apex coding skills is a plus
  • Experience with email performance analysis, segmentation, and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with an interest in learning emerging CRM tools like AI agents and Data Cloud segmentation
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
