Job Description

The Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer III at Google gTech analyzes and resolves technical problems related to data and tool access. They understand operational workflows, identify tool needs, and develop and deploy tools with engineering teams. Collaboration with Product Managers and Software Engineers is crucial to improve Google tools and products. The role involves working with Consumer and Engineering teams to improve troubleshooting and user experience, managing stakeholder expectations, and communicating with internal and external partners to deliver technical solutions. This requires strong coding skills (Java, Python, C/C++), web technologies expertise (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP), and experience with technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years coding experience (Java, Python, C/C++)
  • 3+ years web technologies experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
  • Technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management experience
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • 3+ years SQL/MySQL experience
  • 3+ years Linux/Unix systems experience
  • Technical leadership, project management, problem-solving skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).
  • Experience with technical leadership, project management, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with payments systems or domain.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve technical problems and roadblocks around data and tools access.
  • Understand operational workflows, identify and define tool needs to enable operational scaling, and drive the development both new and ongoing and deployment of these tools with Engineering.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers to improve or develop new Google tools and products.
  • Collaborate with Consumer and Engineering teams to write code and implement tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and the end user experience.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external partners to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
