Job Description

This Customer Engineer role at Google Cloud involves working with Partner Development Managers to grow and support the Google Cloud partner ecosystem. You will lead efforts to enable partners across technologies and solutions, contributing to customer adoption of Google Cloud services. Responsibilities include enabling partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations, supporting partners in developing solutions, recommending integration strategies, working with Partner Managers to identify and recruit partners, onboarding partners to the Marketplace, building technical assets, leading technical projects (including bid responses and proof-of-concept work), and guiding customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in cloud architecture, Google Cloud solutions, and experience engaging with technical and executive stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud architecture in a partner-facing or support role.
  • Experience designing and building architectures and migrating workloads to cloud environments.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in analytics, data and information lifecycle management, relating to SAP portfolio and technologies. Experience with SAP technologies, architecture, and infrastructure needs.
  • Experience with virtualization or containerization platforms and migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience building business partnerships with partners and customers in an architecture or solution delivery role.
  • Experience conducting partner technical engagements along with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with networking and security concepts.
  • Experience with Google Cloud solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Enable partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations and guiding customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environment(s). Support partners developing solutions, ensuring the best use of Google Cloud.
  • Recommend and review integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Work with Partner Managers to identify and recruit partners in the market that can deliver innovative and complete solutions to our customers. Onboard partners to the Marketplace and empower them to drive pilots, proofs of concept, and production workloads.
  • Build technical assets, collaborate with partners to develop Google Cloud-specific solution documentation, joint technical articles, webinars, whitepapers, and demos with ISV products.
  • Lead technical projects, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product, and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
