Job Description

The Data Strategy and Solution (DSS) team at NIQ owns the research, creation, and maintenance of over 27,000 distinct Label Insight attributes. The Global Data Governance team within DSS ensures the quality and maintenance of proprietary taxonomies. The Data Analyst will manage the processing of globally sourced English language data, interpret and analyze data structures, audit and develop internal database taxonomies, and expand the database to align with market trends. This role involves learning coding for LI attribute-powered solutions and resolving customer inquiries, contributing to data quality and customer trust.

The Data Strategy and Solution (DSS) team owns the research, creation, and maintenance of all 27,000+ distinct Label Insight attributes. This team is composed of industry experts including dietitians, food scientists, chemists, regulatory and product formulation experts. The Global Data Governance team within DSS is responsible for the quality and maintenance of our proprietary taxonomies: claims, certifications, ingredients, nutrients, and categories that are the foundation of all Label Insight data. The Global Data Governance Analyst is detail-oriented, able to make fast, but thoughtful decisions around and Label Insight data, regulations, and trends in the FMCG and grocery industries. You will receive on-the-job training for creating and managing Label Insight data taxonomies which will enable various LI-powered solutions within. Your willingness to use new platforms, learn new skills like data review, analysis, and coding will help build and maintain our data quality and, ultimately, enable customer health, trust, and new growth opportunities

Job Description

  • Manage the processing of globally sourced, English language data that powers attribution for various solutions. This includes on-package marketing text, ingredients, and nutrient data.
  • Interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate our data and taxonomy structure
  • Audit, improve and develop internal database taxonomies
  • Expand our database to align with growing market trends and global expansion projects
  • Learn simple coding language to build and maintain LI attribute-powered solutions
  • Work with customer success teams to investigate and resolve customer inquiries

Qualifications

  • University degree, bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Native speaker or high proficiency in the English language - both orally and in writing. Comfortable understand different accents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
  • Comfortable learning new technology platforms (Coding, BI tools, GitHub, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with the desire and ability to pick up new skills quickly
  • Comfortable with tedious and repetitive tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to manage deadlines and time on projects independently
  • Experience in data quality management, data review, or data cleaning is preferred
  • Technical mastery of:

1. BI and data querying tools and languages including: Looker, Power BI, Solr, SQL, and ElasticSearch

2. Internal tools and databases including: Label Insight NPE, Label Insight Explore 4.0, BB Product Library, and Discover

3. Internal Label Insight data management portals including: Digi, Taxonomy Management & Creation Portals, AMP, and others

this role is Hybrid 2 per week at the office in Sofia
