A financial firm is seeking a Jr. Business Analyst with RFP experience to join their team in New York, NY or Iselin, NJ. This role involves delivering detailed business and functional requirements, collaborating with development and QA teams, and providing product demonstrations and training. Candidates should have 4-6 years of experience in banking/finance and expertise in competitive procurement processes.
Must Have:
Deliver detailed business/functional requirements, use cases, user stories, wireframes, data mappings, training materials.
Work with development teams to identify business and functional solutions and build better products.
Collaborate with QA and development to ensure implementation meets requirements and usability guidelines.
Develop subject matter expertise in your area of responsibility.
Provide SME support, product demonstrations, and training to internal & external users.
Bachelor's degree in Technology/Finance/Business/Science or related field.
4-6 years of work experience as a business analyst in banking / finance.
Supported business requirements definition and product/supplier selection in competitive procurement processes (RFP).
Excellent knowledge and experience creating Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS).
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies.
Advanced knowledge and experience using business analysis tools and techniques (requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis).
Some knowledge of banking, front to back trade life cycle, settlement systems and practices.
Strong team player who can share knowledge and help others succeed.

Good client facing skills and ability to work/communicate with business & technical stakeholders.

Advanced knowledge and experience of using business analysis tools and techniques such as requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis
Financial Services and / or regulated organisational experience
Able to work in complex matrix organisation
Must have a some knowledge of banking, front to back trade life cycle, settlement systems and practices would be helpful
Must be a strong team player who can share knowledge and help others succeed
Must be passionate about the quality of your work, strive to continuously improve and challenge the status quo
Good client facing skills and the ability to work/communicate with business & technical stakeholders is essential
