Job Summary
AppLovin is seeking its first eCommerce Business Development Manager in Korea to launch and scale its eCommerce business in the market. This role involves owning the market end-to-end, from introducing AppLovin's value proposition to Korean eCommerce brands, onboarding and scaling key partners, and serving as the voice of the local market internally. The manager will work closely with advertisers, regional leadership, and global product teams to drive adoption, performance, and long-term growth in a highly visible, client-facing capacity.
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, media buying, digital strategy, or business development within the eCommerce industry.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs, attribution models, and customer behavior analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify and direct-to-consumer (DTC) business models.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment and building processes from scratch.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Demonstrated experience working with large data sets and optimizing performance through analysis.
- Strong interest in technology and data-driven decision making.
Good to Have
- Deep knowledge of the eCommerce and digital advertising ecosystem, including brands, agencies, and platforms.
- Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
- Experience with full-funnel media buying, conversion rate optimization (CRO), incrementality testing, and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience in mobile advertising or a strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem.
- Basic understanding of programming, scripting, or automation tools.
- Strong academic background (BA/BS).
- Native-level Korean and professional English proficiency.

About the Role
We are hiring our first eCommerce Business Development Manager in Korea to help establish and scale AppLovin’s eCommerce business in the market. This is a rare opportunity to enter at an early stage and play a critical role in launching, shaping, and growing a new business line locally.
You will own the market end-to-end, from introducing AppLovin’s value proposition to Korean eCommerce brands, to onboarding and scaling key partners, to serving as the voice of the local market internally. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, business development, and market strategy.
In this highly visible, client-facing role, you will work closely with eCommerce advertisers, regional leadership, and global product teams to drive adoption, performance, and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for AppLovin’s eCommerce business in Korea, helping establish our presence and credibility in the local market.
- Proactively identify, pitch, onboard, and scale eCommerce advertisers, including DTC brands, platforms, and agencies.
- Build trusted relationships with CMOs, Heads of Marketing, Growth Leaders, and other senior decision-makers.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them unlock growth through AppLovin’s mobile advertising platform.
- Own campaign success end-to-end: campaign setup, performance analysis, creative testing, and ongoing optimization against ROAS and growth targets.
- Define, track, and analyze performance metrics to ensure long-term partner success and sustainable revenue growth.
- Provide local market insights and feedback to global Sales, Product, and Data Science teams to influence product development and go-to-market strategy.
- Represent AppLovin at industry events, conferences, and client meetings in Korea.
- Operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with regional and global stakeholders.
