Motorola Solutions is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for their IT organization to improve data quality and integrity. The intern will assist with data quality checks, profiling customer and supplier data, supporting product data management, resolving discrepancies, and documenting data definitions. This role offers hands-on experience in data governance, analysis, and master data management processes within a global community focused on public safety and enterprise solutions.
Must have:
  • Assist in performing data quality checks and profiling on customer and supplier data using tools like Alation and Datactics.
  • Support the Product Data Management project by helping with data mapping and analysis for product data integrations and conversions.
  • Work with the data team to identify and resolve data discrepancies and implement data quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy.
  • Help document data definitions, business rules, and data lineage to support data governance initiatives.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Computer Science.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and data structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date of May 2028 or later
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Job Description

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Computer Science.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams.

Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago/Schaumburg office 2 days a week.
