Job Description

The Partner Data Product Manager at PlayStation will play a pivotal role in evolving partner data systems. Responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of partner-facing systems and data, contributing to the partner data roadmap, championing a mature data culture, defining features and prioritizing them, engaging with Data and Analytics Engineering teams, presenting features to stakeholders, enhancing user experience, coordinating User Acceptance Testing, and driving collaboration across product delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in product management or consulting, strong analytical and data visualization skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Role Overview:

PlayStation collaborates with many thousands of publishers, developers, and other partner types to bring rich gaming and media experiences to our players. Many processes are employed to develop, publish, and market content, introducing both unique growth opportunities and operational challenges to our partners. The Partner Data Product Manager will join a growing team focused on serving our partners at scale and delivering on our promise of making PlayStation the Best Place to Publish.

The Partner Data Product Manager will play a pivotal role in evolving our partner data systems, empowering internal business and product development teams to activate this data and create a more data-informed, efficient, and personalized experience for our partners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop a keen understanding of partner-facing systems, the data they generate, and the user needs of this data
  • Contribute to and evangelize the Partner data roadmap
  • Champion a mature data culture, including self-service and robust metrics for new features
  • Exhibit a relentless focus on customer outcomes and value
  • Develop and support the definition of features, feature prioritization, process improvements, and data product development with an eye on critical metrics
    • Engage at a technical level with Data and Analytics Engineering teams
    • Present new features to stakeholder groups, working with them to shape and validate requirements
  • Enhance user experience within primary visualization tool
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and ensure requirements were understood and implemented as requested
  • Actively provide user and broader business context to engineering teams
  • Drive collaboration/partnership across all product delivery teams [including geographically-dispersed teams]

What we'll be looking for:

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management or in consulting with a focus on delivering business value from the application of product, user journey, and/or workflow data in an enterprise environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-informed product design and decision making
  • Strong querying and data visualization skills to uncover actionable insights
  • Understanding of data modeling impacts to user experience and self serve
  • Excellent communicator who can articulate the value of data-based decision making to stakeholders across the organization
  • An ambitious self-starter who deals well with ambiguity
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work with diverse multinational teams and cultures
