About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and training of AI models for managing US healthcare claims. This role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models to automate and enhance the claims processing workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of healthcare claims data.
- Develop and fine-tune machine learning models to accurately analyze and prioritize claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand and define key processing rules and criteria.
- Design experiments to validate model performance and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Deploy and maintain AI models in a production environment.
- Continuously monitor and improve model performance through regular updates and retraining.
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings to support transparency and reproducibility.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2- 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, EHR/EMR systems, and claims processing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based ML services such as AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
