As a Database Administrator, you will work with both established RDBMS systems and innovative big-data technologies. You will play a key role in database design, operation, and optimization. The role involves collaborating with development teams to optimize database performance, monitoring and resolving database issues, managing backups and restores, implementing security protocols, tuning performance, and overseeing database installations and upgrades. The role also involves developing long-term strategies for database architecture and scalability and developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.

- Experience in provisioning and supporting databases on Azure and AWS RDS
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
- Proficient in Scripting in any language
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
- Experience in identifying and resolving database performance bottlenecks
- Solid SQL Performance Tuning
- Experience in Database Installs/Clustering, Upgrades, Patching, Replication, Security, and Monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of Database backup and recovery
- Experience in tuning databases for optimal efficiency (including both hardware and software)
- Solid understanding of Database design “best practices”
