Job Description

A career within our recently established CFO Advisory Team will provide the opportunity to leverage ACA/ACCA background and experience, supporting clients' finance teams to evolve with increasing demands. We help with project support on deals, urgent/crisis response, working capital, cost reduction, and financial team support. You will gain firsthand experience working in finance departments of large Irish organizations. Our team provides rapid response to investigate and stabilize problem areas, determining funding and cash requirements to prepare and implement recovery plans, including cashflow forecasts, budgets, strategy changes, or business carve-outs.
Must have:
  • CFO Advisory Services across Transaction Support, Working Capital, Crisis Response, Finance Team Support, Cost Reduction, supporting finance leaders address complex financial challenges and drive strategic growth
  • Partner with our clients to understand their needs, optimising financial operations, navigating uncertain times and driving business transformation
  • Guide clients and manage post-deal integration, handle financial budgets through efficient allocation and optimisation to achieve strategic goals without compromising quality or performance.
  • Recently qualified ACA/ACCA accountant, with demonstrable experience in deals, audit or financial advisory services
  • Strong analytical skills, including financial and operational KPIs
  • Comfortable with financial analysis, including P&L, balance sheet, working capital and cashflow analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and competent report writing skills including use of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong project and time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and with clients and their advisors
  • Strong commercial awareness from both a business and global perspective
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external networks
  • Highly motivated and a strong commitment to continued personal development

A career within our recently established CFO Advisory Team, will provide you with the opportunity to leverage your ACA/ACCA background and experience, gain real-world experience in supporting our clients' finance team to evolve with the ever- increasing and more complex demands being asked of them. We help clients with project support on deals, urgent/crisis response, working capital, cost reduction and/or financial team support. You will gain firsthand experience working in the finance departments of some of the largest organisations in Ireland, e.g. public sector bodies, PLC’s and/or large private companies.

The Opportunity

Our team provides a rapid response for clients to help investigate and stabilise any problem areas of their business. We determine their immediate funding and cash requirements to help them prepare and implement a recovery plan for their business. This can involve the preparation of cashflow forecasts, budgets, changes in strategy and/or carving out our sections of their business for sale.

As a CFO Advisory Deals Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Background & Experience / Preferred Skills - What we are looking for
