Job Description

Version 1 seeks an experienced Public Sector Delivery Manager to lead crucial projects for a Central Government client. Responsibilities include managing teams, setting client expectations, removing delivery blockers, and ensuring projects are on time and within budget. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, experience with Agile/Hybrid projects, and proficiency in project scope definition, work-plan creation, RAID analysis, governance, documentation, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess consulting experience, technical project management expertise across various technologies, and a proven track record in delivering Software Development, Data, or Cloud Migration projects within the UK Public Sector. GDS experience and knowledge of Cloud technologies are essential.

Job Description

Due to account growth, we are seeking an experienced Public Sector Delivery Manager to own and drive a crucial piece of work for one of our Central Government clients. You will be managing and maintaining the pace of your team, while setting and maintaining client expectations. Our Delivery Managers ensure a clear path to delivery by removing blockers and striving for delivery excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively establishing, building and maturing relationships with new customers
  • Delivering effectivity and creating new opportunities
  • Drive Agile or Hybrid projects forward on time, to budget and best quality
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Weekly overview and delivery assurance meeting
  • Standard Delivery Manager duties including project scope, detailed project work-plan, RAID analysis, governance, documentation and risk management

Qualifications

  • Consulting Mindset or Experience in consulting 
  • Technical project management experience and the ability to manage projects no matter the technology involved
  • Experience in delivering Software Development, Data or Cloud Migration projects
  • GDS experience required
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies
  • Agile experience and experience in running Agile projects
  • Software Delivery Life Cycle experience (SDLC)
  • Extensive Public Sector experience
