Job Description

Alphawave Semi is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to lead verification for UCIe, PCIe, and MMU subsystems in multi-core CPU based SoCs. This role involves architecting and planning DV activities, collaborating with design teams and third-party vendors, and owning the end-to-end verification flow from plan creation to sign-off. The successful candidate will develop scalable testbench components using UVM and System Verilog, create test cases for ASIC RTL and FPGA environments, and support Emulation and FPGA teams.
Must have:
  • Lead verification for UCIe, PCIe, and MMU subsystems in multi-core CPU based SoCs.
  • Architect and plan DV activities at subsystem and SoC levels.
  • Work with third-party vendors and IP suppliers for component verification.
  • Own end-to-end verification flow, from plan creation to tape-out sign-off.
  • Collaborate with the design team to define verification requirements and feature scopes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in MMU configuration and data path verification.
  • Develop scalable testbench components for RTL and firmware features using UVM.
  • Develop test cases for SoC and subsystems in ASIC RTL and FPGA environments.
  • Support Emulation and FPGA teams on SoC verification.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of ASIC design verification experience.
  • Extensive experience in building reusable test benches and strong debugging skills.
  • Proficiency in UVM, System Verilog, VHDL, Verilog, C.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and methodologies for digital verification.
Good to have:
  • Experience with PCIe-based SoCs RTL and Gate level Verification.
  • Supporting and bringing up FPGA, Emulation based systems for PCIe verification.
  • Hands-on SoC bring up experience in a lab environment.

What You'll Do

  • Leading verification for UCIe, PCIe and MMU subsystem in a multi-core CPU based SOCs in an inclusive team environment
  • Architecting, Planning DV activities at subsystem level and SoC level.
  • Working with third party vendors, IP suppliers to verify different components of the subsystem.
  • Own end-to-end verification flow, from verification plan creation and review to implementation and sign-off on tape-out.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop verification requirements and define critical feature scopes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in MMU configuration, verification of different data paths supporting RP and EP devices in multi core CPU based SoCs.
  • Develop scalable testbench components for verifying critical RTL and firmware features using UVM.
  • Develop test cases to verify SoC and subsystems in ASIC RTL, FPGA environment.
  • Support Emulation and FPGA teams on verification of SoC

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of ASIC design verification experience.
  • Extensive experience in building reusable test benches and strong debugging skills.
  • Proficiency in UVM, System Verilog, VHDL, Verilog, C.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and methodologies for digital verification.

It Would Be Amazing If You Had

  • Experience with PCIe-based SoCs RTL and Gate level Verification.
  • Supporting and bringing up FPGA, Emulation based systems for PCIe verification
  • Hands-on SoC bring up experience in a lab environment

Salary and Benefits

Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $140,000 to $210,000 annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including a short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
