Job Description

We’re looking for a Designer to join our social-savvy team of creative extraordinaires. You are immersed in all things design and sweat the pixel-perfect details. You'll be expected to explore and master a strong point of view in design, explaining your choices to the team and clients. Daily tasks include social asset creation, motion design, animation, video editing, presentation layout, concept mockups, and photo editing. You understand design best practices, new techniques, platforms, and what drives people.
Must Have:
  • Understand project requirements and concepts across various mediums.
  • Create drafts, storyboards, and wireframes using various techniques.
  • Produce final design solutions for all media and presentations.
  • Offer input into creative brainstorms and share ideas.
  • Work with ACD and Art Directors, incorporating feedback autonomously.
  • Support the team in campaign and project execution.
  • Reside in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Miami.
  • 2-4 years experience with industry design tools.
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Strong understanding of visual elements: layout, typography, hierarchy, composition.
  • Skilled with Google Slides.

We’re looking for a Designer to join our social-savvy team of creative extraordinaires. If this sounds like you, then we were meant for each other!

You are immersed in all things design and you sweat the pixel-perfect details (and we love you for it). You’re as comfortable animating as you are talking about why Papyrus is a travesty. You love the challenge of coming up with and executing the best creative solution for any given problem, and you have no hang-ups about collaborating with senior staff to produce engaging content according to a variety of briefs

You’ll be expected to explore and start mastering a strong point of view in design and be able to explain your choices to other people on your team (and to the client). Your daily tasks will include social asset creation from start to finish, motion design, animation, video editing, presentation layout, concept mockups, and photo editing.

You get the technical stuff (design best practices, new techniques, and new platforms) and you get the non-technical stuff (people and what drives them, no matter who they may be). Sound like you? Let’s meet up!

Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements and concepts across a variety of mediums (e.g. responsive design, motion design, social assets of various shapes and sizes)
  • Use various techniques to create drafts, storyboards and wireframes
  • Produce final design solutions for all media (e.g. logos, social assets, interfaces, websites and app designs) and presentations which best communicate work
  • Offer input into creative brainstorms and share ideas during team meetings
  • Work with ACD and Art Directors to receive feedback, using it to improve work while working autonomously to execute visionSupport the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects
  • Learn skills to support specialized tasks and evolving landscape of digital media

Requirements

  • This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week in office required. You must reside in one of our US office locations: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Miami
  • 2-4 years experience with a knowledge of industry tools
  • Experience with design software and editing tools (e.g. After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of visual elements (layout, typography, hierarchy and composition)
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Highly creative with problem-solving aptitude
  • Skilled with Google Slides
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to see projects through from inception to production
  • Consistency in quality regardless of project size
  • The motivation to maintain and improve design standards
