Job Description

WildBrain CPLG is a world-leading entertainment, sport and brand licensing agency with 20 offices worldwide. We are looking for a Designer to join our talented team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director in China, this dynamic and highly collaborative role bridges creative execution across North America, Europe, and China. The ideal candidate is a curious, strategic thinker with a strong background in brand or agency environments, and a passion for storytelling through design. You will play a key role in shaping consumer product experiences and content for WildBrain’s iconic IPs, delivering innovative, brand-aligned creative across product development, POSM and digital content.

Must Have:
  • Lead Creative Execution across merchandise, content, and POSM, ensuring alignment with brand vision, storytelling guidelines, and audience resonance.
  • Drive Franchise Localization: Oversee creative adaptation of IPs for local markets, including content development and stylization.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with commercial, marketing, and product development teams to translate business objectives into compelling creative strategies.
  • Manage Creative Resources: Coordinate with internal teams, freelancers, and external agencies including designers, illustrators, photographers, and character artists.
  • Ensure Quality & Efficiency: Streamline workflows to optimize cost and effectiveness, while maintaining global quality standards.
  • Trend & Tech Awareness: Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies to deliver consumer-centric, revenue-driving creative.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to pitch decks, concept mockups, and visual storytelling for business development and content partnerships.
  • Content Design for Chinese Platforms: Deliver high-volume, quick-turnaround creative assets for platforms like Bilibili, Youku, iQIYI, and Tencent Music.
  • Minimum 4 years in creative roles within digital platforms or IP-driven consumer product development.
  • Strong understanding of the entertainment and IP landscape.
  • Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally and present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with global touchpoints.
  • High personal standards and attention to detail across graphic design, product development, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Ability to solve creative challenges with innovative, brand-aligned solutions.

Job Description

  • Drive Franchise Localization: Oversee creative adaptation of IPs for local markets (e.g., Chinese “cute” versions of TT & ITNG), including content development and stylization.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with commercial, marketing, and product development teams to translate business objectives into compelling creative strategies.
  • Manage Creative Resources: Coordinate with internal teams, freelancers, and external agencies including designers, illustrators, photographers, and character artists.
  • Ensure Quality & Efficiency: Streamline workflows to optimize cost and effectiveness, while maintaining global quality standards.
  • Trend & Tech Awareness: Stay ahead of design trends and emerging technologies to deliver consumer-centric, revenue-driving creative.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to pitch decks, concept mockups, and visual storytelling for business development and content partnerships.
  • Content Design for Chinese Platforms: Deliver high-volume, quick-turnaround creative assets (e.g., posters, banners) for platforms like Bilibili, Youku, iQIYI, and Tencent Music—supporting over 2000+ designs launching Q4 2025–Q1 2026.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 4 years in creative roles within digital platforms or IP-driven consumer product development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the entertainment and IP landscape; passion for WildBrain brands is a plus.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally and present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with global touchpoints.
  • Creative Excellence: High personal standards and attention to detail across graphic design, product development, and visual storytelling.
  • Software Mastery: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator; video editing skills are a bonus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to solve creative challenges with innovative, brand-aligned solutions.
