Job Summary
This internship offers an amazing opportunity for a student to gain exposure to all areas of marketing and events within the licensing business in Shanghai. You will work closely with the marketing team, learning about character licensing (Peanuts & Teletubbies) and participating in events across China. Responsibilities include social media operations (content, campaigns, KOL/KOC screening for Weibo, WeChat, Red Book, Douyin), marketing events support, cross-stakeholder collaboration, brainstorming creative ideas, updating franchise calendars, presentation decks, and general outreach for marketing collaborations, providing valuable industry experience.
Must Have
- Based in Shanghai
- Available 3+ days/week for 3+ months
- Good command of English and Chinese
- Experience with social media channels (Little Red Book, Douyin, WeChat, Weibo)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Assist social media content and campaign operations
- Support marketing events in China
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Participate in brainstorming for brand activities
- Update franchise calendars and presentation decks
- Conduct outreach for marketing collaborations

About the Role
We are offering an amazing opportunity for an internship for student to gain exposure to all areas of marketing & events in the licensing business in Shanghai. You will work closely with the marketing team. You will learn about licensing especially on Character licensing (Peanuts & Teletubbies) and participate in events in & around China, promoting our products and licensing activities. You will also involve with Marketing/Social media and Brand Management; this placement will give valuable industry experience and insight into the operations of a successful international business.
Job Description
- Social media operation:
- Assist in daily content, social campaign planning and operation of Weibo, WeChat, Red Book, Douyin
- Assist in in KOL/KOC screening, content review, implementation and follow up of social platforms such as Red Book and Douyin
- Marketing events support – assisting in planning, communication, coordination, on the ground events collaboration with partners in China.
- Collaborate and coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including working with internal approval processes for marketing functions.
- Participate in brainstorming from time to time, including providing creative ideas for brand activities, social media marketing programmes etc.
- Helping to update franchise calendars and presentation decks.
- General outreach to prospects to start new conversations on marketing and promotion collaborations.
Qualifications
- Shanghai based, interested in entertainment and IP industry, working at least 3 days a week for more than 3 months
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be proactive with a solution/result-oriented attitude and team player.
- Strong communication and writing skills and a good command of English & Chinese
- Passion for marketing and learning, experience with common social media channels (Little Red Book, Douyin, WeChat, Weibo).
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
