Birdy Grey is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead email and SMS marketing initiatives, focusing on developing and executing strategies that enhance customer engagement and retention. Must Have
- Lead email and SMS marketing initiatives

- Maintain and optimize email/SMS channels (deliverability, list health, segmentation)

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years Email and SMS experience
- Expert knowledge of email best practices
- Proficient in HTML/CSS, Excel, Google Analytics
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

LOCATION: US - Remote (West Coast Preferred)
Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports remote work for eligible roles. We ask that all employees travel to either office once a quarter. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid
Birdy Grey is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead our email and SMS marketing initiatives, focusing on developing and executing strategies that enhance customer engagement and retention. This role will involve managing various email and SMS touchpoints and crafting automated lifecycle journeys while utilizing testing and best practices to optimize performance. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams to promote our brand, synthesize campaign data into actionable insights and ensure alignment with business goals. A proactive, analytical mindset and a strong background in eCommerce marketing are essential for success in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and execute multi-channel campaigns aimed at driving customer engagement, conversion and retention at all funnel stages
- Create and optimize automated lifecycle journeys and personalized campaigns
- Design and implement sophisticated A/B and multivariate tests across email and SMS
- Develop testing frameworks, establish hypotheses, and translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations
- Build and leverage weekly reports to track and present on results and performance
- Synthesize campaign and performance data into digestible insights and present findings to stakeholders and leadership
- Connect performance to business impact, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Maintain and optimize email and SMS as core channels, focusing on deliverability, list health, segmentation, and personalization
- Continuously improve processes and operational workflows, establishing best practices and staying current with industry trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop audience segments, creative, and content personalization strategies that improve relevance and performance
- Establish strong partnerships with relevant teams including Creative, Product, Analytics, Brand, Performance marketing, Merchandising, and Technology to identify growth opportunities and manage dependencies effectively
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years with Email and SMS experience, preferably with Klaviyo
- Must possess a strong background in identifying, implementing, managing, and analyzing high volume B2C email marketing programs
- Expert knowledge of email best practices, including targeted lists, subject lines, messaging, campaign tracking, and deliverability
- Extensive experience executing personalized campaigns utilizing segmentation
- Proficient in HTML/CSS, Excel, and Google Analytics
- Analytical mindset and quantitative skills with a strong ability to compile, analyze, and report data
- Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data deep dives to surface actionable insights.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot and/or escalate issues effectively.
- Hard working and willing to roll sleeves up - no job is too big or too small.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, fluid environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to lead projects.
