About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the Agglayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the Agglayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role

As a Developer Evangelist focused on DeFi, you will be the driving force for degen builders on a new DeFi-focused chain. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, fostering creativity and enabling them to build scalable, impactful projects. Whether through technical workshops, hands-on support, or creating resources, you’ll ensure developers feel equipped to push the boundaries of DeFi on Polygon.

Our ideal candidate isn’t just DeFi native. You’re DeFi obsessed, a liquidity maxi, capable of seeing yields everywhere at the same time and honing the perfect tools to tap them. Most importantly, you’re excited about creating a community of mad scientists to build the beating heart of DeFi on the AggLayer.

Your Responsibilities

• Write, ship, and maintain technical resources for DeFi developers, such as tutorials, starter kits, docs, and sample libraries that make building DeFi apps simpler and faster

• Run high-signal developer activations; workshops, bootcamps, and grants, that turn ideas into live DeFi projects

• Provide hands-on guidance for developers building on Polygon, helping them navigate infra, optimize yield, and scale liquidity

• Be a Trench Warrior. Stay active in Telegram, Farcaster, and other places devs congregate, helping them get unstuck and keeping a pulse on where the meta is shifting

• Spot DeFi trends before they go mainstream. Identify emerging primitives, cross-chain yield opportunities, and protocol design shifts, and turn those insights into content and DevEx improvements

• Work with engineering to eliminate developer pain points, improve infra, and make Polygon’s DeFi tooling the best in the game

• Build relationships that matter. Partner with DeFi thought leaders, protocol founders, and ecosystem builders to amplify our reach and build deeper network effects

• Shitpost with purpose. Memes, tweets, blog posts—whatever it takes to make Polygon the technical center of gravity for DeFi builders. You will be the primary culture driver

• Drive real adoption. Get developers to ship meaningful projects on Polygon, not just play with testnet contracts

What You'll Need

• Passion for DeFi: You need to speak the language and know the rabbit holes

• Developer Expertise: Hands-on experience building with tool chains 

• Technical Communication: Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly through content, talks, and mentorship

• Community Engagement: Proven experience engaging with and growing builder communities, both online and in person

• Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying and resolving technical challenges for developers

• Metrics-Driven Approach: Familiarity with analytics tools to measure developer engagement and adoption

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Polygon’s ecosystem and its DeFi projects

• Experience creating user-facing apps, frontends, and products

• Experience creating automation tools or bots to streamline community engagement

• Content creation skills (e.g., technical writing, video tutorials, or live coding)
