Rockstar is on the lookout for a Development Support member for the Game Live Operations team who will be passionate about the management and maintenance of our live retail titles. This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.
WHAT WE DO
- We support the management and maintenance of the live retail titles including hot fixes, unscheduled and scheduled maintenance and updates, event and promotional period support.
- Lead investigations with developers into emerging issues, communicating and clarifying details of issues and potential fixes to a wide audience across multiple departments, editing and managing relevant backend files, arranging and co-ordinating test work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule, book and communicate meetings for the team.
- Note-take during meetings, and help summarise next steps, surfacing the notes and actionable steps to meeting attendees as a follow up.
- Manage communication channels, keeping the Game Live Operations team connected to all other teams, departments, and disciplines.
- Work with Design Production to keep the Game Live Operations team linked to project schedules and priorities.
- Assign and deadline bugs for the Game Live Operations team.
- Managing the flow of bugs in various states through the Game Live Operations teams - ensuring all relevant details are present and correct.
- Provide bug status reports to help maximise efficiency, unblocking bugs and workflows.
- Provide project progress reporting for the Game Live Operations team, using bug data and project scheduling.
- Collate and create Game Live Operations documentation across multiple software packages as well as Confluence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ year experience working in Games or similar software development company.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to confidently communicate throughout the whole of Rockstar.
- Flexible and strong initiative together with excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to focus and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment.
- Great attention to detail.
- Calm and confident approach to managing developing, high priority situations.
- Comfortable co-ordinating efforts across multi-discipline teams.
PLUSES

- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
- Able to pick up new skills quickly.
- Skilled at gathering information using Google to collate into concise reports and overviews of online sentiment.
