About the Role

As DevOps Team Lead at Powtoon, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimizing and scaling our cloud infrastructure. You’ll lead a small but mighty global DevOps team (currently 2 engineers), collaborate closely with R&D teams across Tel Aviv, Ukraine, and South America, and ensure the seamless deployment, performance, and security of our systems.

You’ll be both strategic and hands-on - guiding architectural decisions, driving automation and observability improvements, and enabling development velocity across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a globally distributed DevOps team, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality delivery at pace.
• Own and evolve our cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS), focusing on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Manage IaC using Terraform (mainly), while continuously improving our CI/CD pipelines and environments.
• Maintain and scale our Kubernetes-based workloads and services.
• Improve system observability, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support new feature rollouts, infrastructure changes, and platform reliability goals.
• Ensure security best practices across infrastructure and deployments.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
