As a Director, FP&A, you will serve as a strategic finance leader, enabling data-driven decision-making that directly influences company growth. You will partner with executives across the business to deliver forward-looking insights, build scalable models, and translate complex data into actionable strategies. This high-visibility role combines traditional FP&A excellence with modern tech-enabled finance practices, including automation, predictive analytics, and strategic business partnering.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, and GTM teams to guide capital allocation, growth strategy, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development of robust budgeting and forecasting models, scenario analyses, and dynamic reporting that drive strategic decisions.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, business intelligence tools, and automation to deliver real-time insights on company and segment performance.
  • Prepare executive-level deliverables, including materials for monthly business reviews, Board meetings, and investor-facing updates.
  • Provide financial leadership for inorganic growth opportunities, integrations, and high-impact initiatives.
  • Champion scalable financial processes, automation initiatives, and KPI dashboards that enable smarter, faster decision-making.

As a Director, FP&A at Zinnia, you’ll serve as a strategic finance leader, enabling data-driven decision-making that directly influences company growth. You’ll partner with executives across the business to deliver forward-looking insights, build scalable models, and translate complex data into actionable strategies. This is a high-visibility role that combines traditional FP&A excellence with modern tech-enabled finance practices, including automation, predictive analytics, and strategic business partnering.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Strategic Business Partnering – Collaborate with senior leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, and GTM teams to guide capital allocation, growth strategy, and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Planning & Forecasting – Lead the development of robust budgeting and forecasting models, scenario analyses, and dynamic reporting that drive strategic decisions.
  • Data-Driven Insights – Leverage advanced analytics, business intelligence tools, and automation to deliver real-time insights on company and segment performance.
  • Board & Executive Support – Prepare executive-level deliverables, including materials for monthly business reviews, Board meetings, and investor-facing updates.
  • M&A & Strategic Initiatives – Provide financial leadership for inorganic growth opportunities, integrations, and high-impact initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement – Champion scalable financial processes, automation initiatives, and KPI dashboards that enable smarter, faster decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally blending investment banking, corporate FP&A, and/or technology sector experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex data into clear narratives for senior executives and Boards.
  • Advanced modeling, forecasting, and presentation skills (Excel, PowerPoint, BI/analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Adaptive Insights).
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset, with a deep understanding of technology, software, and data-driven businesses.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build influence across diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience driving process automation, digital finance tools, or data-led transformation preferred.

BONUS POINTS:

  • Industry knowledge in Life Insurance, Insurtech, or Fintech is a plus

The expected salary range for this position is $225,000 - $250,000, dependent on skills and location. The salary range is a good faith estimate based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
