Job Description

Hasbro is seeking a Director, Global Creative Studio to lead packaging, instructions, adaptation, and print management teams within the Global Creative Development COE. This role involves championing shared studio capabilities, driving regionalization of production, ensuring high standards of print production and color management, and recruiting and inspiring talent. The director will also identify and implement new tools for workflow efficiency, foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, and stay updated on emerging creative production trends. The goal is to deliver meaningful brand and product experiences for customers.
Must Have:
  • Oversee packaging, instructions, adaptation and print management teams.
  • Lead new ways of working across teams in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Canada and US.
  • Champion shared studio capabilities, building scalable, agile resources.
  • Drive regionalization of packaging and instructions production.
  • Hold internal and external teams accountable for consistency and quality in print production and color management.
  • Recruit, grow, and inspire talent with clarity, empathy and high expectations.
  • Identify and implement new tools and technologies to streamline production and workflow efficiency.
  • Work closely with creative operations, brand creative, product design and development teams.
  • Demonstrate curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends and creative production best practice.
  • Represent the Global Creative Development team as an inspiring leader.
  • Become an expert with regard to Hasbro’s brands and toy and games products.
  • Act as a steward of go-to-market brands, maintaining consistency of voice and visual identity.
  • Be a gate-keeper for quality control of creative, ensuring it is on brief, on time and on budget.
  • 12+ years of experience in a creative agency or consumer products company.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience managing, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of creative design principles.
  • High proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Past experience overseeing global packaging design and print/digital content creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automation and generative AI applications for creative production.
  • Executive presence with an aptitude for earning trust and developing meaningful relationships.
  • Impeccable visual and verbal aesthetic with a thoughtful eye for the details.
  • A positive attitude with a “get-stuff-done” mindset.

Hasbro is seeking a Director, Global Creative Studio to join our Global Creative Development COE, reporting directly to the VP, Global Creative Development. You will oversee packaging, instructions, adaptation and print management teams supporting our entire toy and games business, leading new ways of working across teams in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Canada and US. To do this, you will need to be an inspiring creative leader with a strong operational pedigree and an invaluable partner to cross-functional stakeholders in brand creative, product design and development. All of this with a goal of delivering meaningful brand and product experiences to for our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion shared studio capabilities, building scalable, agile resources that support packaging, instructions, adaptation and print management teams as well as shared studio capabilities (graphic design, 3D and motion design).
  • Drive regionalization of packaging and instructions production, working closely with partners to bring design excellence and production closer to the source of production.
  • Hold our internal and external teams accountable for the highest standards of consistency and quality with regard to print production and color management.
  • Recruit, grow, and inspire talent with clarity, empathy and high expectations.
  • Identify and implement new tools and technologies to streamline production, workflow efficiency and effective resource management .
  • Work closely with our creative operations, brand creative, product design and development teams to foster an environment of collaboration, partnering with a wide range of disciplines to deliver great work.
  • Demonstrate a curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends, while keeping the pulse of creative production best practice.
  • Represent the Global Creative Development team as a leader with an ability to inspire peers and executives alike with charismatic and persuasive presentation of ideas
  • Quickly become an expert with regard to Hasbro’s brands and robust offering of toy and games products.
  • Act as a steward of all of our go-to-market brands, responsible for maintaining consistency of voice and visual identity across all experiences.
  • Be a gate-keeper for quality control of creative, partnering with operations teams to ensure creative is on brief, on time and on budget

What You’ll Bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in a creative agency or consumer products company. Toy, game or consumer goods experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing diverse, high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive experience managing, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of creative design principles and high proficiency in today’s industry-standard design tools including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Past experience overseeing global packaging design as well as print and digital content creation.
  • Deep curiosity and demonstrated knowledge of automation and generative AI applications for creative production.
  • Executive presence with an aptitude for earning trust and developing meaningful relationships
  • Impeccable visual and verbal aesthetic with a thoughtful eye for the details
  • A positive attitude with a “get-stuff-done” mindset
