Job Description

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering, seeks a Director HRBP in Rehovot, Israel. This role involves proactively shaping HR strategies aligned with business goals, optimizing performance, and fostering an appropriate culture. Key responsibilities include talent assessment, developing talent pipelines, and leading change management initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to coach and influence executive leadership, contributing to the company's mission of enabling advanced technologies.
Must have:
  • Proactively shape HR BU/Function strategies and priorities to align to BU strategy and changing needs.
  • Help shape the appropriate culture.
  • Diagnose and provide appropriate interventions to optimize business/function performance.
  • Conduct organizational & talent assessments.
  • Develop talent strategy and pipeline to staff and build workforce capability.
  • Design and implement change management, communication and engagement strategies.
  • Actively partner, coach & develop executive leadership.
  • Effectively manage, coach, develop & influence HR employees.
  • Leverage tools and systems (e.g., Workforce Dashboard, Workday) to perform analytics.
  • Lead M,A&D diligence and integration(s) from the HR perspective.
  • Partner with M,A&D core team and regional HR on projects, programs, processes and initiatives.
  • Provide a leadership role on at least one enterprise-wide initiative annually.
  • Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories and practices.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of own segment/function, business and commercial expertise.
  • Leads a business unit, department or sub-function.
  • Develops and executes business unit, department or sub-functional strategy.
  • Evaluates key business challenges; directs the development of new or innovative solutions.
  • Impacts results of segment/function, guided by company strategy and business objectives.
  • Influences and negotiates at the top executive levels.
  • Presents and defends complicated or delicate issues.
  • Understanding of Applied Materials global Standards of Business Conduct and compliance with these standards.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively shape HR BU/Function strategies and priorities to align to BU strategy and changing needs. Help shape the appropriate culture. Diagnose and provide appropriate interventions to optimize business/function performance to execute against strategy goals and align the workforce to the strategic goals.

Conduct organizational & talent assessments; develop talent strategy and pipeline to staff and build workforce capability. (e.g., selection, assessment, development, succession)

Design and implement change management, communication and engagement strategies within the BU/Function

Actively partner, coach & develop executive leadership. Actively and effectively manage, coach, develop & influence HR employees, both direct and indirect reports.

Actively partner, coach & develop and influence executive leadership Highly Complex-Most significant complexity and impact, highest risk environment . Large Scope-Generally supporting multiple products/services and/or functions.

Leverage tools and systems e.g.; Workforce Dashboard, Workday to perform analytics in support of business strategy.

As required, lead M,A&D diligence and integration(s) from the HR perspective. Partner with M,A&D core team and regional HR on projects, programs, processes and initiatives to integrate the acquisition with the BU/Function.

Provide a leadership role on at least one enterprise-wide initiative annually.
