Job Description

As the Director of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s integrity and ensuring regulatory adherence. You will lead a team of Compliance Managers, Risk Analysts, Policy Specialists, and Audit Coordinators. Your primary focus will be to build and optimize compliance frameworks in a proactive, data-informed manner to meet all applicable standards while supporting business objectives and protecting the player experience. Responsibilities include designing and enhancing policies, internal controls, audits, and training programs, monitoring regulations, leading market entry, risk management and incident response, cross-functional partnership, team leadership, and external advocacy. The role requires deep knowledge of regulations, technical fluency, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Must have:
  • 7-10+ years in gaming or similar tech.
  • Building or leading a compliance function for at least 3 years.
  • Deep knowledge of AML, PCI, GDPR/CCPA, advertising standards.
  • Comfortable with mobile game architectures, payment flows, and data pipelines.
  • Ability to influence C-level and translate regulations into plain English.

As we expand, we're​ ​looking for​ ​a​ ​rockstar Director of Compliance to join our great team!

As the Director of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s integrity, ensuring regulatory adherence, and enabling sustainable growth across our mobile gaming portfolio. This role requires close collaboration with Legal, Product, Data, and Operations teams, while leading a dedicated group of Compliance Managers, Risk Analysts, Policy Specialists, and Audit Coordinators.

Your primary focus will be to build and optimize compliance frameworks in a proactive, data-informed manner—ensuring that our products meet all applicable standards while supporting business objectives and protecting the player experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the global compliance program – design, implement and continuously enhance policies, internal controls, audits and training that keep all mobile titles, platforms and back‑end systems in line with multi‑jurisdictional gaming, money‑transmission and consumer‑protection laws. 
  • Monitor the regulatory landscape – track changes in state, federal and international regulations (DFS, iGaming, AML/KYC, data‑privacy, advertising) and translate them into clear business guidance and product requirements. 
  • Market entry – lead all applications, renewals, GLI testing, regulator meetings and new‑market readiness assessments; provide go/no‑go recommendations to executives. 
  • Risk management & incident response – run periodic risk assessments, oversee investigations, drive corrective action plans and deliver executive‑level compliance reports and KPIs. 
  • Cross-functional partnership – embed with product, engineering, marketing, payments and customer support so new game mechanics, features, promos and vendor integrations launch “right‑the‑first‑time.” 
  • Team leadership – hire, coach and mentor a high‑performing compliance staff; set goals, allocate workload and champion continuous‑improvement projects 
  • External advocacy – represent the company in regulator consultations, industry bodies and responsible‑gaming forums to shape policy and protect the brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Law, Business, Risk Management or similar); JD or Master’s a plus. 
  • 7‑10+ years in gaming, iGaming, DFS or similar tech; at least 3 years building or leading a compliance function; proven multi‑state or multi‑country licence track‑record. 
  • Regulatory expertise – deep knowledge of AML, PCI, GDPR/CCPA, advertising standards and responsible‑gaming frameworks. 
  • Technical fluency – comfortable assessing mobile game architectures, payment flows and data pipelines; hands‑on familiarity with compliance management software, ERP and analytics tools. 
  • Leadership & communication – demonstrated ability to influence C‑level, steer cross‑functional teams and translate complex regulations into plain‑English requirements. 
  • Traits – strategic thinker who can zoom into details when needed, thrives in fast‑paced mobile‑game or live‑ops environments, and upholds the highest ethical standards.
