Job Description

Responsible for operating an R&D fab to develop new module processes, establish new process baselines, develop metrology, and manage equipment upgrades. This role involves technology transfer to external partners, including process bring-up and matching. The Director of Semiconductor Engineering will develop III-V semiconductor devices and manufacturing process flows on time, in spec, and on budget. Key responsibilities include identifying and overseeing relationships with external vendors, managing technology transfer and process bring-up, leading technical reviews, maintaining quality standards in the fab, assembling task forces for critical issues, producing assessments of manufacturing maturity and risks, mentoring a large team, reporting to leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Must have:
  • Develop III-V semiconductor devices and manufacturing process flows
  • Oversee relationships with external vendor partners
  • Manage external vendors for technology transfer and process bringup
  • Lead technical reviews internally and with vendors
  • Maintain quality standards in the fab
  • Assemble and manage task forces for critical issues
  • Produce assessments of manufacturing maturity and risks
  • Mentor and foster a large team
  • Report to Steering Boards and Executive Leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Also responsible for technology transfer to external partners including process bringup and matching. The director of semiconductor engineering technology center will be responsible for: - Developing III-V semiconductor devices and manufacturing process flows on time, in spec, and on budget. - Identifying and overseeing relationships with external vendor partners: technology transfer, risk management, escalation management. - Manage external vendors for technology transfer and process bringup. - Leading technical reviews both internally and with vendor. - Maintaining quality standards in the fab. - Assembling and managing task forces to tackle critical issues. - Producing assessments of manufacturing maturity and risks. - Mentoring and fostering a large team to enable an inclusive and successful environment. - Reporting to Steering Boards and Executive Leadership. - Maintaining effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
