Job Description

Eyeline Studios is seeking an accomplished Director of VFX Production to lead its Seoul-based team through all stages of VFX project delivery, from pre-production to final handoff. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for the strategic, creative, and operational success of the studio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee production operations, mentor regional staff, manage client relationships, and champion innovative workflows for continuous improvement and operational excellence at Eyeline Studios.
Must have:
  • Oversee all active productions in Seoul, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule.
  • Analyze cost report metrics and title schedules, offering data driven recommendations.
  • Guide resource allocation and title prioritization across all active projects in Seoul.
  • Supervise and mentor regional production staff, providing training and fostering company culture.
  • Guide the technology training team to develop curricula that advance artist skills.
  • Liaise with Netflix APAC (excluding India) to align business objectives with production goals.
  • Collaborate with global VFX Production leaders to maintain consistent standards and efficiency.
  • 15+ years of experience in VFX production management roles, with proven leadership of large teams.
  • Thorough understanding of production and post production processes.
  • Knowledge of the broader Korean film business ecosystem.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and resource management skills.
  • Excellent bi-lingual (written and verbal) communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem solving abilities.
Good to have:
  • Native Korean speaker with deep expertise in the local content production ecosystem.
  • Fluency in English to collaborate with global partners.

Eyeline Studios is seeking an accomplished Director of VFX Production to lead our Seoul-based team through all stages of VFX project delivery, from pre-production to final handoff. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for the strategic, creative, and operational success of the studio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a dynamic, people-oriented leader with over ten years of hands-on VFX production management experience within a studio or production company. The ideal candidate is a native Korean speaker with deep expertise in the local content production ecosystem and fluency in English to collaborate with global partners. You will oversee production operations, mentor regional staff, manage client relationships, and champion innovative workflows for continuous improvement and operational excellence at Eyeline Studios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all active productions in Seoul, ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule. Serve as the primary escalation point for VFX project issues.
  • Analyze cost report metrics and title schedules, offering data driven recommendations to improve efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Guide resource allocation and title prioritization across all active projects in Seoul.
  • Supervise and mentor regional production staff, providing training and fostering company culture.
  • Guide the technology training team to develop curricula that advance artist skills and support adoption of generative workflows.
  • Liaise with Netflix APAC (excluding India) to align business objectives with production goals. Partner with internal and external teams to support diverse projects.
  • Collaborate with global VFX Production leaders to maintain consistent standards and efficiency across regions. Identify workflow gaps and automation opportunities; work with technical teams to implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in VFX production management roles, ideally within a studio or VFX production company, with proven leadership of large teams (50+ people).
  • Thorough understanding of production and post production processes, and the knowledge of the broader Korean film business ecosystem.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and resource management skills, with a track record of overseeing multiple complex project schedules.
  • Excellent bi-lingual (written and verbal) communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem solving abilities; able to make proactive decisions and drive continuous improvement under pressure.
  • People oriented leader, adept at mentoring, fostering teamwork, and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
