Job Description

The ElasticSearch Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of ElasticSearch solutions, designing and maintaining operational procedures, developing system administration procedures, and providing technical expertise. The role involves practical validation of solutions, producing technical documentation, and assisting with system configuration. The specialist will also train administrators and users. The work is for a large European organization.
Must have:
  • 7 years of experience as an IT professional in medium-large enterprise ICT environment
  • Elasticsearch expertise: good understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, indexing, search APIs
  • Java expertise: proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
  • Databases: experience with SQL and relational databases, such as Oracle
  • Infrastructure: familiarity with images, containers, Kubernetes
  • Semantic search: knowledge about vector search, ranking models
  • Fluency, in English, to at least B2 level

Job Description

We are currently looking for an ElasticSearch Specialist to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations.

Tasks:

  • Support the design and implementation phases of the ElasticSearch solutions used at the client's,  revising and improving on the technical specifications and configurations devised already to account for different use cases;
  • Design, implement and maintain operational procedures for the management of the ElasticSearch components and technologies, in support of client's ICT Operations teams.
  • Develop procedures for recurring system administration and support for other operations teams, providing awareness sessions where required;
  • Practical validation and implementation of the solutions recommended by the leading architect, in conjunction and support of the testing team;
  • Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with ElasticSearch services and components;
  • Production of technical documentation;
  • Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment and in training administrators and users;

Qualifications

Who you are:

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor plus minimum of 7 years of experience as an IT professional working in a medium-large enterprise ICT environment
  • Elasticsearch expertise: good understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, indexing, and search APIs; experience with query optimization, index design, etc.
  • Java expertise: proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
  • Databases: experience with SQL and relational databases, such as Oracle
  • Infrastructure: familiarity with images, containers, Kubernetes
  • Semantic search: knowledge about vector search, ranking models, etc.
  • Fluency, in English, to at least B2 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
