Tesla's Athens, Greece office seeks an Electrical Engineering intern for a 6-month, full-time position starting January 2025. The intern will contribute to the motor technology team, focusing on the design, prototyping, and validation of an in-house magnetics measurement setup. Responsibilities include designing electronics, simulating circuits, procuring components, validating the setup against a state-of-the-art system, developing a current control feedback algorithm, and creating a user-friendly LabView UI. Collaboration with magnetics and mechanical engineers is also required to minimize measurement errors and package the setup for efficient deployment. The ideal candidate possesses strong embedded systems experience, proficiency in electrical measurements, and excellent communication skills.

Tesla is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern with experience in embedded systems and real-time control, as well as performing electrical measurements. This person will be working as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece, and will be responsible for designing, prototyping and validating an in-house magnetics measurements setup. 
What You’ll Do
  • Design, simulation and component procurement for an electronics setup required to perform magnetic measurements on soft magnetics materials. 
  • Experimental validation of the designed setup and comparison of the results with a state-of-the-art measurement setup. 
  • Development of a current control feedback algorithm. 
  • Develop a user-friendly UI (preferably in LabView) to enable rapid measurements. 
  • Collaboration with Magnetics Engineers to understand magnetic measurements and minimize measurement error. 
  • Collaboration with Mechanical Engineers to package the entire setup into a single module, allowing rapid and robust deployment. 
What You’ll Bring
  • Studies in Electrical Engineering with specialization in electronics and software. 
  • Strong experience in using power analyzer/oscilloscope & performing electrical measurements. 
  • Excellent understanding of electric circuits. 
  • Understanding of embedded systems, as well as relevant development experience, preferably with LabView.  
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing.
