Job Description

This internship focuses on researching innovative memory solutions for AI/ML workloads, specifically for LLM. The intern will collaborate with the MSL team, profile CPU/GPU systems to identify bottlenecks, characterize device performance, design simulation models for new architectures, and contribute to research patents or publications. The role involves learning about memory pooling devices, CPU/GPU profiling, and computer architecture/performance modeling.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with MSL teammates to research innovation solution for AI/ML workload

Reports to: Principal Engineer

  • Collaborate with other researchers in the team to develop innovative memory solutions for AI/ML workload.
  • Performance profiling of GPU/GPU/Accelerator system to analyze the bottleneck.
  • Characterize device performance and identify architecture tradeoffs between memory and computation.
  • Design simulation models for new architecture solution and collect data for publication.
  • Generate research patent/IP report/publication and give talks on the learning.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Pursuing PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred.
