Job Description
We are promoting the social implementation of Vehicle-to-Grid, which utilizes the batteries of electric vehicle fleets as a means of supply and demand adjustment for power systems. This position offers the opportunity to challenge the proposal of solutions utilizing electric vehicles as a means to achieve global decarbonization goals, and it is expected that you will become a specialist who can play an active role both domestically and internationally in the future. This team conducts research on creating EV charge/discharge management mechanisms, EV behavior prediction technology based on data science, and value creation through collaboration with external universities and research institutions, assuming an era when EVs are widely adopted.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the research and development of EV energy management systems for Vehicle to Grid. Your main duties will include:
- Development of control logic to optimize EV charging/discharging, and development of EV behavior prediction models.
- Examination of conditions for successful EV energy management business, and ecosystem building/partner consideration.
- Joint system development and demonstration tests with partners.
The workplace members are mainly young, with many mid-career members having diverse experiences. We expect you to demonstrate your expertise and take leadership within this team.
The workplace has been renovated this year, with areas for communicating with team members, areas for focused work, and areas for online meetings. A remote work environment is also in place, allowing for a balance between working at the office and working from home.
You will be able to engage in a wide range of activities, from the development of EV charge/discharge control logic, energy management systems, and user interfaces, to technical and business model demonstration tests both domestically and internationally.
