Job Description

This is a trainee position at Valeo, a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility. The responsibilities include simulation and dimensioning of EMC filters, analyzing EMC test results, defining and implementing corrective actions, using lab equipment for electronic tests, reviewing PCB layouts, and documenting test setups. The ideal candidate will be an engineering student with a specialization in EMC, a strong technical background in electronics, and good communication skills in English. This role involves hands-on work and problem-solving related to automotive technologies.
Must Have:
  • Engineering student in Electronics, preferably with EMC specialization
  • Strong technical background in electronics (analog/digital)
  • Understanding of radiated and conducted emissions/immunity
  • Ability to read and interpret Bode diagrams
  • Good communication skills in English

Your responsibilities

Simulation and dimensioning of EMC filters

Analysis of EMC test results and identification of anomalies

Definition and implementation of corrective action plans

Use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers to perform electronic tests

Review of PCB layouts to ensure compliance with EMC requirements

Documentation of test setups, measurement procedures, results, and parameter configurations

Your profile

Engineering student (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in Electronics, preferably with a specialization in EMC

Strong technical background in electronics (analog/digital)

Good understanding of radiated and conducted emissions, radiated and conducted immunity, and bulk current injection (BCI)

Ability to read and interpret Bode diagrams and work with frequency-domain analysis

Strong interest in automotive technologies and innovation

Hands-on mindset, problem-solving attitude, and ability to work independently

Good communication skills in English
