Job Description

Ambient.ai is an AI-powered physical security platform helping enterprises reduce risk and improve operational efficiency. The Engagement Manager will work directly with customers to ensure successful setup, onboarding, training, and platform usage. This role involves stakeholder management, aligning customers and internal teams, and acting as a project manager, coach, consultant, and product expert. The primary objective is to guide customers to quickly get their hardware and Ambient software operational, enabling them to see value rapidly and prevent security incidents.
Must have:
  • Ensure customer success through fast, efficient, and low-friction setup, onboarding, and implementation.
  • Project manage customer setup, onboarding, implementation, testing, and launch, establishing goals and reporting progress.
  • Become an expert on the Ambient.ai platform and industry trends to build trusted customer relationships.
  • Work with the Customer Success team, aligning with internal teams like pre-sales.
  • Capture and convey customer feedback internally for product and service improvements.
Good to have:
  • Basic understanding or interest in machine learning / artificial intelligence
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

About the role:

The Engagement Manager role is perfect for someone with excellent interpersonal & project management skills, who enjoys working directly with customers to get them successfully set up, onboarded, trained, and using a platform/product. The role will focus on stakeholder management by actively engaging with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams (such as sales, marketing, customer success, and engineering), and hardware vendors. The primary objective is to ensure that all parties involved in the pilot are aligned with its goals and expectations, fostering clear communication and collaboration to drive success.

Part project manager, coach, consultant, and product expert, you’ll be passionate about guiding our customers to get their hardware and Ambient software up and running quickly, allowing them to see value quickly.

What you’ll do

  • Be an integral part of making our customers successful. Ensure that their initial Ambient.ai journey through setup, onboarding, and implementation is fast, efficient, and low friction, setting the customer up for success (leading to retention and growth)
  • Project manage & support our customers through setup, onboarding, implementation, testing, and launch, working with customers to establish and document critical goals, milestones, and deliverables, then measure & report progress towards those goals
  • Become an expert on the Ambient.ai platform and keep up with industry trends, allowing you to establish a trusted relationship with your assigned customers
  • Work as part of the Customer Success team focused on alignment across various internal teams that include customer success and pre-sales.
  • Ensure customer feedback is clearly captured and conveyed internally to enable ongoing improvements to our products and services

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing customer success, customer implementation, or customer onboarding-type roles
  • Strong project management skills and experience with managing SaaS software/tools implementation projects across multiple stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with a high level of integrity and desire to assist your colleagues and customers - you can be flexible as this company & role scales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; can display trust and integrity under pressure when working through customer issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Experience delivering training or onboarding materials to stakeholders and end-users would be advantageous
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic understanding or interest in learning about machine learning / artificial intelligence
  • Bonus: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
