Job Description

The Engagement Manager (EM) is responsible for crafting custom commercial offers for clients. They assess project needs and create competitive offers. The EM acts as the main contact during pre-sales, connecting the client with the production and business development teams. They build strong relationships with new clients and teams involved in projects, while also overseeing all project activities during proposal preparation. Responsibilities include project screening, commercial offer preparation, client and studio needs satisfaction, and sharing knowledge. They also participate in project screening, oversee technical estimations, define key parameters for presentations, collaborate with teams, and participate in initial pre-sale calls.
Must have:
  • 2+ years experience in project management, sales, presales, or solution design
  • Strong English communication skills (B2+ or higher)
Good to have:
  • Professional Project Management Certificate is a plus

Job Details

Engagement Manager (EM) is responsible for creating customized commercial offers for clients by assessing project requirements and generating competitive offers within the client’s requirements. In this role, the EM serves as the primary liaison during the pre-sale process, facilitating communication between the client, the production team, and the business development teams. The EM actively nurtures positive relationships with new clients and all project-assigned groups, while also monitoring all project-related activities during the Proposal (RFP) response preparation process.

Superpowers you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    – Project Management
    – Sales
    – Presales, client engagement, or solution design
    – Game development industry
    The more of these areas you’re familiar with, the stronger your fit for the role.

  • English proficiency:
    Advanced level (B2+ or higher) — strong communication skills in both written and spoken English are essential.

You’re a rockstar if you have:

A Professional Project Management Certificate is a plus.

Becoming part of Room 8 Group, you will:

Project Screening and Commercial Offer Preparation:

  • Participates in the project screening;
  • Oversees technical estimation of the new projects by line staff (art leads, engineering leads, and similar);
  • Producers commercial estimates for new projects, consulting with specialty producers/project managers, if necessary.
  • Defines key parameters for pitch presentations and creates them;
  • Collaborates with the Portfolio and Solution Management team to address any credentials-related inquiries;
  • Finds creative solutions and collaborates with Project Leads to establish unique pipelines;
  • Participates in the initial pre-sale calls with clients to confirm project requirements and clarity of demands.

Satisfaction of Client’s and Studio’s needs:

  • Interacts with the Business Development Team, Division/Sub-Division Directors, Program Managers to assess the studio’s internal capacity for meeting clients’ requirements and project deadlines;
  • Analyzes and explores the mutual needs of the studio and clients, presenting ideas and selling points to clients with the aim of securing projects and building relationships.

Development of Engagement Management and Production Management Processes and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Shares knowledge and expertise gained during the engagement management process with the team.
