About Hacksaw Studios:
At Hacksaw Studios, we’re at the cutting edge of iGaming, creating award-winning games and that are loved by players around the world. As we continue to innovate and expand, we are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Engineering Manager to manage the day-to-day tasks of our talented engineering teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in the ongoing development of our games, ensuring that our game client (front end) and backend systems are executed flawlessly and in sync. You’ll take a big role in our engineering department, making strategic decisions while managing the daily operations of both development teams. If you’re passionate about gaming, technology, and leading highly skilled developers, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineering Teams: Manage, mentor, and guide both front end (game client development) and backend teams, ensuring smooth communication, efficient workflows, and high-quality code across both areas.
  • Prioritize & Balance Deliverables: Manage and prioritize the day-to-day tasks of the engineering teams, ensuring a balanced approach between new feature development and maintenance. Ensure that deadlines for new deliverables are met while critical ongoing maintenance is not overlooked.
  • Work with Technical Team Leads: Collaborate closely with the technical leads of each team (front end and backend), who bring deep technical expertise and leadership to their respective areas. Your role will focus on higher-level oversight, prioritization, and ensuring alignment across teams, rather than getting involved in the deep technical details.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the engineering efforts align with the overall product vision and timelines.
  • Strategic Planning & Roadmap: Drive technical strategy and decision-making, aligning the engineering roadmap with the overall business objectives and ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable solutions.
  • Hands-On Guidance: With your technical background, you’ll have a deep understanding of the tasks and challenges your teams face day-to-day, enabling you to offer hands-on guidance and advice when needed.
  • Resource Management: Balance team workloads, manage resources, and help prioritize projects to ensure efficient execution across both front end and backend development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in software development, either in front-end (e.g., game client development) or backend technologies. Knowledge of modern .NET is a plus but not required.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in leading engineering teams, with a proven track record of mentoring developers and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong ability to manage complex technical projects, balancing deadlines, resources, and technical requirements while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A natural problem solver with the ability to break down complex technical issues and guide your team through challenges with clear direction and support.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Gaming Experience (Preferred): Previous experience working within the Gaming industry is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Agile & Adaptable: Experience working in agile environments, able to adapt quickly to new priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic company.

Why Join Hacksaw Studios?

  • Be a key player in a rapidly growing gaming company.
  • Collaborate with a team of passionate, innovative developers and industry experts.
  • Work on globally recognized games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Exciting career growth opportunities in a fast-moving and innovative industry.
