Job Description

The role of Engineering Quality Leader (M/F) at Thales in Cholet involves proactively supporting the maturity of Engineering organizations and providing independent analyses on recurring and cross-functional issues. You will work on innovative solutions within Engineering Competence Centers of the Radio Communication Products Domain, accompanying engineering teams, ensuring understanding of client needs, evaluating practices, and contributing to the transformation plans of engineering.
Must Have:
  • Accompany engineering teams and management to make them autonomous on processes.
  • Adjust practices to implement as needed, aligned with the entity's maturity.
  • Ensure understanding of client needs and expectations within engineering teams.
  • Ensure the engineering competence center can meet quality commitments and competitiveness.
  • Develop operational maturity through transverse Quality activities (analysis, support, coaching, capitalization).
  • Guarantee support to Quality Assurance Managers for better risk anticipation and problem resolution.
  • Strengthen collective capacity to function effectively and efficiently.
  • Be a stakeholder in engineering transformation plans and represent the quality perspective.

Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.## Our commitments, your benefits* Success driven by our technological excellence, your experience, and our shared ambition.* An attractive compensation package.* Continuous skills development: training courses, academies, and internal communities.* An inclusive, benevolent environment that respects employee balance.* Recognized societal and environmental commitment.## Your daily lifeBetween Nantes and Angers, close to the Atlantic coast, our Cholet site, predominantly R&D with a strong industrial footprint, specializes in defense radio communications, satellite communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions.You join the Quality & Customer Satisfaction Department to proactively support the challenge of increasing the maturity of Engineering organizations and provide independent analyses on recurring and cross-functional problems.You will be involved in the creation of innovative solutions within Engineering Competence Centers of the Radio Communication Products Domain.Your main missions are:* Daily support for Engineering teams and their management to make them autonomous on processes.* Adjusting practices to be implemented to the necessary extent, in line with the maturity required by the entity.* Ensuring understanding of client needs and expectations within engineering teams, both at management and development team levels.* Ensuring that the engineering competence center is capable of meeting its commitments from a quality perspective, but also with a concern for competitiveness: evaluating practices, participating in maturity assessments, peer or milestone reviews, etc.* Developing operational maturity through cross-functional Quality activities (analysis, support, coaching, capitalization).* Guaranteeing support to Quality Assurance Managers for better risk anticipation and problem resolution.* Strengthening the collective capacity to function effectively and efficiently.* Being a stakeholder in engineering transformation plans and representing the quality point of view with a concern for effectiveness.## Your Profile* Graduated from a higher education BAC+5 (Engineer or equivalent), do you have significant experience in development/system engineering or project/package management?* Do you have experience in leading cross-functional projects?* Do you have good analytical and synthesis skills and are you recognized for your ability to convince on cross-functional topics (influence management)?* Are you autonomous, rigorous, and pragmatic?* Are you able to step back to anticipate problems?Then this position is for you!Thales, a Handi-Engaged company, recognizes all talents.
