Job Summary
The Service Delivery Planning Team Manager manages and aligns Coastal Scheduling teams for Thales ISSC programs in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This role involves building and managing maintenance and Work Period Schedules for vessels, ensuring compliance with program-specific maintenance, and providing accurate reports. The manager also ensures the coastal scheduling team is trained and understands the scope of all applicable Coastal ISSC Programs, including the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of in-year work period scope and schedules.
Must Have
- Manage and align Coastal Scheduling teams for Thales ISSC programs.
- Build and manage maintenance and Work Period Schedules for vessels.
- Ensure coastal scheduling team is trained and understands ISSC Programs.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain in-year work period scope and schedules.
- Provide accurate and timely reports.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to develop valid and accurate bid and project maintenance packages.
- Ensure data transfer and coordination between various program management software systems.
- Assist Coastal Operations Managers through resource levelling and scheduling techniques.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for process integration within Maintenance Management Systems.
- Coordinate internal EAC review meetings and update EAC and LFR projections in Primavera P6.
- Extract and assign generic codes from P6 to new hires and existing personnel.
- Maintain Service Delivery Fleet Activities in P6.
- Comply with all relevant HS&E legislative requirements, policies, procedures and framework.
- Competent use of Scheduling Tools (Primavera P6 & MS Project).
- Project planning knowledge essential.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Prior experience in ship building, repair, or maintenance industry.
- High level of computing skills particularly with MS Office and Power BI.
- Excellent communications skills including the ability to prepare and present reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to promote cooperation.
- Management of a multi discipline team.
- Experience in leading a team through Change Management Process.
- College Graduate with trade experience or Post graduate qualifications in Business, Project Management, or Engineering.
- Eligible or able to obtain authorization for Canadian Export Control List and/or US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.
Good to Have
- 7+ Years of experience scheduling projects.
- Experience with DRMIS.

Job Description
Position Summary
We are searching for a Service Delivery Planning Team Manager for a current vacancy on our team.
The Service Delivery Planning Team Manager is responsible for managing and aligning the Coastal Scheduling teams for the Thales ISSC programs. The Teams are responsible for building and managing the maintenance and Work Period Schedules for vessels homeported on their respective coast. The Planning Team Manager is accountable to deliver Schedules and Shared Processes as much as possible within each Program’s specific Maintenance Program. The Planning Team Manager also ensures the coastal scheduling team is trained and understands the scope of all applicable Coastal ISSC Programs, including but not limited to, the preparation, monitoring and maintaining the in-year work period scope and schedules, providing accurate and timely reports as required.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Planning Team Manager is responsible for the processes and procedures of Coastal ISSC Planning functions. The preparation and upkeep of Work Period packages and schedules is performed in conjunction with the various stakeholders (i.e. Ship Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Coordinators, Team Leaders, DND Fleet Maintenance Facilities (FMF), and Sub-Contractors) as required. The work packages identify and validate that all required maintenance routines are included for execution during designated work periods. The schedules identify the program critical paths in conjunction with sub-Contractor or Technical Support Network (TSN) schedules and end customer operational timelines to manage the work period timelines.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to develop valid and accurate bid and project maintenance packages;
- Ensure data transfer, data coordination between various program management software systems to ensure capture of accurate performance data;
- Assist the Coastal Operations Managers through resource levelling and other appropriate scheduling techniques to identify suitable project execution strategies to reduce execution costs and improve schedule performance;
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders for integration of processes within various Maintenance Management Systems;
- Coordinate internal EAC review meetings with coastal team members and update EAC and LFR projections in Primavera P6;
- Extract and assign generic codes from P6 to new hires and existing personnel as required;
- Maintain Service Delivery Fleet Activities in P6, activating/closing timecodes as appropriate, ensuring correct personnel are identified on the active lines and updating activity dates based on the latest Fleet schedules;
- Other tasking’s as required.

Minimum Requirements
- Competent use of Scheduling Tools (Primavera P6 & MS Project);
- Project planning knowledge essential;

Preferred Qualifications
- 7 + Years of experience scheduling projects highly advantageous.
- Experience with DRMIS an asset.
Physical Demands
- Predominantly office based, but will also be required to work onboard Naval Vessels, or remotely (including from home).
Special Position Requirements
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional domestic travel may be required which will include access to government facilities and assets, including naval vessels.
The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) $106,000 – $130,000 -$154,000 CAD Annual.
