Technical Leader (M/F)

Join the Thales team in Carquefou, near Nantes, within a dynamic site focused on digital services for critical information systems. You will integrate human-sized teams specializing in secure web application development with a User-Centric approach. The role involves technically leading a development team for a strategic application rewrite for a Ministry, ensuring technical excellence, collaborating with the software architect, and promoting continuous improvement in eco-design, security, AI, and technical innovation. You will also evaluate development efforts and foster a DevOps culture.

Must Have

• Technically lead a development team in building a critical application.
• Ensure technical excellence: architecture, best practices (Clean Code, TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD), and technical debt reduction.
• Collaborate closely with the software architect to validate technical choices and communicate them to the team.
• Animate a continuous improvement dynamic: eco-design, security, AI, and technical innovation.
• Evaluate development efforts and ensure technical feasibility of features.
• Promote a DevOps culture (continuous integration/delivery, test automation, monitoring).
• Expert in Java with a mentoring spirit.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Leader in an Agile environment.
• Master's degree (BAC+5).
• Expertise in Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch.
• Good knowledge of Front-end (ideally Vue.js) and Web Services.
• Proficiency in Clean Code, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Ability to transmit knowledge, make technical decisions, and simplify complex concepts.

The project? A strategic program to rewrite an application in Agile mode for a Ministry, with the following missions:

✅ Technically lead a development team in building a critical application.

✅ Ensure technical excellence: architecture, best practices (Clean Code, TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD), and technical debt reduction.

✅ Collaborate closely with the software architect to validate technical choices and communicate them to the team with pedagogy.

✅ Animate a continuous improvement dynamic: eco-design, security, AI, and technical innovation.

✅ Evaluate development efforts and ensure the technical feasibility of features.

✅ Promote a DevOps culture (continuous integration/delivery, test automation, monitoring).

🛠 Technical environment:

• Backend: Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Web Services (REST/SOAP)
• Frontend: Vue.js
• Cloud & DevOps: CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.), containerization

Your profile

Are you a Java expert with a mentor's soul, capable of navigating between technical vision and team animation?

Have you already held the role of Technical Leader (minimum 3 years) in an Agile environment and do you hold a BAC+5?

Do you have Backend expertise: Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch hold no secrets for you?

Do you have good Front-end knowledge (ideally Vue.js) and master Web Services?

Are Clean Code, TDD, and CI/CD standards for you, not options?

Do you like to transmit, make technical decisions, and simplify complex concepts?
