Must Have

Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Director. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee several software development projects, working alongside project managers, account managers and technical leads, to ensure best practices are being followed throughout the entire development and delivery life cycle.
You will guide, counsel, challenge, course correct and support project team members as well as acting as a point of escalation for any team member.
In addition to supporting delivery, you will also act as mentor and coach to senior team members where you will drive a growth and continual improvement mindset and will play a pivotal enterprise wide role, identifying, enhancing and transforming our systems, processes and people to maintain the highest levels of excellence.
This role will also facilitate focused change agendas such as the adoption of AI as well as identify and drive sanctioned improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this role you will need at least 15 years experience building software solutions and ideally have acted in the capacity of a project manager, technical lead and/or account manager on a large project. It is essential you have led multi-function teams but you don't have to be the expert in everything. You will rely on a team of experts but you will bring commercial balance to the team when required.
Please note: you must have at least 10+ years of experience of software engineering and strong leadership skills to be considered for this role.

- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, supporting Project Managers, proactively mitigating roadblocks, and ensuring a customer-first approach.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with all internal standards and customer-specific processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance project team efficiency and lead process improvement initiatives.
Team Management & Development
- Coach, mentor, and guide project staff to optimize performance, delivery quality, and cultivate a growth mindset.
- Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance evaluations for project team members.
- Support Human Resources to maintain low staff turnover, high team and staff engagement, and assist with conflict resolution, employee relations, and team alignment.
- Foster a culture defined by accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Strategic & Organizational Support
- Drive and assist with organizational transformation activities as directed by the executive leadership team.
EXPERIENCE
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Strong technical foundations with a software engineering background
- Proven leadership
- Experience in customer management and relationship building.
- Commercial experience— while you don’t need to be a business expert, you do need to be comfortable thinking about and talking about the business side as well as the technical side of projects.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solver, and analytical abilities
