Equipment Engineer
Job Summary
Job Description

This role involves sales support for technical clarification, equipment weight estimating, and bidding requirements. Responsibilities include pressure vessel and non-pressure vessel strength calculations, creating mechanical drawings using AutoCAD, performing mechanical design of equipment based on provided guidelines, reviewing subcontractor deliverables, clarifying questions with customers and subcontractors, understanding piping and sheet metal characteristics for optimization and localization design, checking drawings to improve design quality, providing technical assistance during fabrication, installation, and commissioning, and coordinating with US engineers for global project execution. The role also includes other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Must have:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 5 years experience in mechanical static equipment design
- 3D software skills with parametric design
- Strong attention to detail and error-free drawings
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to seek feedback and ask for help
- Accurate and timely progress communication
Good to have:
- Inventor & I-logic experience preferred
- Willingness to travel to customer offices, job sites, or vendor workshops

Skill Set
- Bachelor Degree with Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 5 years work experience in mechanical static equipment design for Petro-chemical and refinery projects.
- 3D software skills with parametric design experience, Inventor & I-logic is preferred".
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work and produce error free drawings.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet project milestones.
- Ability to seek feedback and ask for help when unsure to minimize rework. Communicates progress accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Could take some travels to customer office, job site or vendor’s workshop if needed.
Responsibilities
- Sales support for technical clarification, equipment weight estimating and other delivery to meet bidding requirement.
- Pressure vessel and non-pressure vessel strength calculation to generate specification and strength calculation book.
- Create accurate mechanical drawings with AutoCAD software.
- Using process engineer and discipline engineer provided guidelines to perform mechanical design of various types of Equipment.
- Drawings review on sub-contractor’s deliverable, questions clarification to customer and sub-contractor.
- Understanding of piping and sheet metal characteristic, working for equipment optimization design and localization design.
- Drawing check to improve the accuracy of design quality.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve issues during equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with US engineers for local and global projects execution.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
¥200,000 - ¥300,000 a year
