Job Description

Zeeco is seeking a Sales & Applications Engineer for their Vapor Control division, based in the Lissone office in the Milan area. This role involves managing proposals, designing and specifying equipment based on customer inquiries, and ensuring comprehensive offerings. The engineer will collaborate with various Zeeco disciplines, travel for site support, develop cost estimates, set pricing, and manage formal quotations. The position requires strong technical knowledge of Vapor Control products and a focus on achieving contract awards.
Must Have:
  • Analyze and interpret customer inquiries, including specifications, to design and specify appropriate equipment for the application.
  • Travel to customer's facilities for site support and details needed for technical review and proposal generation.
  • Assist with technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
  • Develop cost estimates according to established guidelines.
  • Set product pricing using mark-up and commission schedules established by management.
  • Determine drawings needed for quotation and coordinate their completion.
  • Write, edit, and issue formal quotations to customer.
  • Follow-up on any written or verbal correspondence with customer during quotation phase.
  • Visit with customer's post-proposal issuance to discuss and negotiate proposal.
  • Provide status reports to management on overall proposal status and activities.
  • Assist with the creation and modification of sales presentations / documents using Microsoft Office, Excel / PowerPoint / Publisher / Adobe and all Web based systems.
  • Assist/guide commercial discussions with clients.
  • Work with management to determine updated skills and tools needed to continue improving performance and knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned that are appropriate based on skills and experience.

Job Description

  • The Sales & Applications Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco's Lissone office in the Milan area. The position will require knowledge of all Zeeco products, with a focus on the Vapor Control division products and technical requirements. The position will be responsible for proposal management, and all Zeeco disciplines required, ensuring the most complete offering with the greatest potential for award and contract.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Energy)
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally for short-term assignments
