Job Description
As an ESD Engineer at Apple, the responsibilities include defining ESD methodologies for all silicon developed, specifying chip and IP level ESD requirements, designing ESD protection devices and circuits, developing test structures for characterization, creating design rules, collaborating with foundries on ESD library and rule development, maintaining an ESD device library, generating/reviewing ESD/LUP testing plans, managing sign-off reviews, and driving ESD/LUP debug activities. This role requires expertise in ESD design and implementation to ensure product reliability and functionality.
Must Have:
- Define ESD methodology for all silicon.
- Design ESD protection devices and circuits.
- Develop test structures for ESD/LUP characterization.
- Collaborate with foundry on ESD library development.
- Manage sign-off reviews with design teams and vendors.
Responsibilities include: -Define the ESD methodology for all silicon developed by Apple and to specify the chip and IP level ESD requirements -Design ESD protection devices and circuits to meet design requirements -Develop test structures to characterize Si for ESD/LUP properties -Develop design rules based on Si characterization data -Collaborate with foundry on ESD library and ESD/LUP rule development activities -Maintain an ESD device library to support internal and external design teams -Generate or review ESD/LUP testing plans for Apple and vendor ICs -Manage the sign-off reviews with internal design teams, external vendors and foundries -Drive ESD/LUP related debug activities
